Since this is a mono color deck, replace two of your Forests with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Then replace your Elvish Mystics with Voyaging Satyrs because you can untap Nykthos rather than just adding one mana. This way you can get loads of mana to use on Joraga Warcallers multikicker. You could probably cut Craterhoof Behemoths from the deck because what synergy does he have? Finally you should replace Llanowar Elvess with one more Elvish Piper and one more Taunting Elf.

Thanks for being the first to offer suggestions! You have some very valid suggestions. Craterhoof is very expensive, but for obvious reasons. He was kinda in there temporarily. I had considered both Ezuri and the Ledgewalkers. I'm not really sure about Heedless One, but I'll think about it. She could be a game winning fetch...
Still have to many cards, however.

DaKennyMan22 Hmmm. I hadn't considered Nykthos. But perhaps there's enough devotion. Craterhoof is a game ender. As far as synergy goes...just read the card.

Craterhoof doesn't affect elves specifically, and it only works on the turn it's summoned, perhaps if you had a flicker card like Cloudshift to reactivate its ability whenever you want...

I've been playing elves for a little over a year now. When I first started I had a deck that was somewhat similar to what you were running. While my current deck uses Glimpse of Nature as a draw engine, there are alternatives that will make your deck more consistent. I recommend adding in 4 Wirewood Symbiote so that you have a way to get more card advantage off of your Elvish Visionary and have the chance to untap your Elvish Archdruid. The Wirewood Symbiotes will cost you about $10 total and will definitely add a lot to your deck. Additionally, mana production is key in elves of any sort, while you do have Elvish Archdruids, you should consider grabbing 4 Priest of Titania, it's like Archdruid, but costs 1 less and doesn't give the global buff. The Priests are anywhere from $1 to $1.50 a piece and will serve you well. Another thing that I recommend is adding 4 Quirion Ranger because it will allow you to put a forest back into your hand so that you can replay it. The Quirion Rangers will set you back about $4 for a playset. If you have any mana elves on the field you can use the untap ability to make loads of mana. With all of that floating mana you'll want to have something to spend it on. While Ezuri, Renegade Leader seems like the best option on paper, in reality Craterhoof Behemoth will serve you better. But if you're on a tight budget, Ezuri is a great alternative. Another thing that seems to happen a lot with elves is that you really need one card, but can't seem to get it out. To fix this problem you can either draw more cards as I suggested earlier on, or play Green Sun's Zenith. Green Sun's will let you get out any of the cards that you might need and because it's banned in Modern they will only cost you about $3.50 a piece. Also, I find that in more Aggro elf strategies, less lands is better. Play around with your mana curve a bit and see what seems to work the best, keep in mind that Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, and Fyndhorn Elves all double as "land." A cool combo that you can do if you choose to do this style of deck is turn 3, Quirion Ranger + Elvish Mystic/Llanowar Elves + Forest (To put back in hand and replay) Priest of Titania + some other elf + Green Sun's Zenith for x = 8 to search for Craterhoof Behemoth and then attack for lethal damage. If you'd like to look at my take on budget elves, check out, Budget Aggro Elves. The most important thing to keep in mind with elves is that if you're playing with more than one person, you will be the target of their abuse, so playing aggressively is a must. Hope this helps a little bit and sorry if this is a little longwinded and if you need to know what to take out, consider things with higher mana costs first.

Quick edit to what I said a few minutes ago, the price of Green Sun's Zenith has gone up to about $6.50 in the last 2 months, so it may be out of your desired price range.

I took a look at your deck. Very nice. This deck works a bit differently, especially with Immaculate Magistrate as well as the possibility of pumping everything up with Joraga Warcaller.

I would replace your piper, and ledgewalkers with a playset of Skyshroud Poacher. Definitely add in Priest of Titania. I play with 16 mana elves and only need 15-16 forest. You can check out my deck for more ideas 4 Elves Of The Apocalypse.

I'm thinking of getting rid of Fauna Shaman and replacing her with some of the aforementioned cards. When I get home from work I'll make a few changes. Land base will also drop.

I've played around with elves a little, and I've found that a Beastmaster Ascension can be almost as great as a behemoth for only being three mana. It also costs less, helping with the budget concept. I would definitely add Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, because a ridiculous amount of mana is always fun. Looks good though!

After play testing for a while I can conclude that the deck is pretty good. Though it is a bit slow (understandably as it is budget) it does become unstoppable. Really enjoy this deck hope to see more!

Genesis Wave is better than Enshrined Memories by a huge margin. I'd swap the numbers on those two. Heck, I'd just drop Enshrined Memories and add 2 more Genesis Wave and 2 more Green Sun's Zenith as both of those cards are significantly better. I understand if you're using Enshrined Memories for budget reasons. But that'd be one of the first things I'd change.

Saucecup, usually by T4 the deck begins to meld gloriously. By that point, you're right, it's fairly unstoppable. On a budget, it may be the best I can get out of it.
Saljen, that's the travesty: budget.

Alright, Saljen, I folded. About $20 more, but more effective.

I'm kind having second thoughts about Wirewood Symbiote. It's a good card, no doubt, but having to return an elf to my hand only ever really benefits me having Elvish Visionary on the play. Well, and obviously great for responding to kill spells or board wipes. Any takes on this?

I suggest splashing blue for beck//call. Beck does the same thing as glimpse into nature, allowing u to draw cards as you are playing creatures. Just my reccommendation

Yeah, that would be awesome, but would surely, and negatively change up the entire flow of the deck.

Question: If I Genesis Wave for a lot and end up digging up Craterhoof Behemoth about half way through, does he only effect creatures dug up before he arrives or do they all essentially get the buff because they (do they?) all hit the battlefield at the same time? I know it doesn't really matter in this deck due to a global lack of haste, but just in case down the road I want to utilize a technique like this.
March 1, 2015 7:24 p.m.
Just put craterhoof on the stack to resolve last to get the full effect. All cards basically get stacked up, and resolved from the top (last card played) before officially hitting the board. This could matter if you have a few non mana dorks that aren't tapped, and crater hoof itself has haste.

That's a really nice instant, but not really necessary. And, believe it or not, it would take up space where I've got valuable creatures. Wellwisher is a card I actually had in here, along with Essence Warden. The ramp and beater aspect of the deck just needed to be the main concentration, otherwise it was less consistent.

willywonka003 says... #25
I understand the "ramp and beater" thing, but honestly, if you're at like 2 life, gaining a bajillion life from Wellwisher will totally ruin your opponent's day. I consider it as a 1 or 2 of in replacement of some of those Wirewood Symbiotes. Side in Wellwisher for aggro decks and Symbiote maybe for decks heavy in removal.

It's an interesting deck. Since you mentioned you wanted to keep it cheap I highly recommend taking off craterhoof and piper and adding Heedless One maybe. As an elf deck I'd also suggest you use Alpha Status and maybe Ezuri, Renegade Leader
Also, you have a very decent mana base, I'd change the spire tracers for Silhana Ledgewalker.
Maybe Asceticism?
