My take on a modern burn deck, with a splash of white for Lightning Helix and Boros Charm. I'm experimenting with a few slightly unusual choices to see if they work; Collateral Damage might be fun for when the creatures run out of steam or as a finisher (attack, sacrifice, burn out) and I've always liked Chandra's Phoenix in this sort of deck (although I'm not sure if it's good enough for Modern.

I can't afford Arid Mesa (I'm really hoping that it gets reprinted in Dragons of Tarkir) and don't want to use Searing blaze without the fetchlands to make it consistent. Other ideas welcome, including where to get Goblin Guides cheaply!

I managed to get hold of the Goblin Guides, so in they went. I also found the Gemstone Mines in a box of old stuff, and thought that thay'd work well in a deck like this. Chandra's Phoenix now gone; fun, but too slow for this deck. Collateral damage gone; too few creatures to make it work consistently. Eidolon is now maindeck, sideboard is edited slightly.

I'm aware this is now more like the majority of Modern Burn decks out there!
