You need Nevinyrral's Disk and Oblivion Stone to take down those pesky enchantments. The disk isn't bad on the wallet.

MTGtheMike, thank you for the feedback! I have considered Nev's Disk on several occasions. For some reason, I've always prioritized keeping my artifacts on the field. I really should pick one up and put it in. Thankfully, the oppressive enchantment decks that used to exist in my meta appear to have been hated out while I was away and replaced by graveyard decks, which I'm better suited against.

I run an Olivi deck myself, not sure what your budget is, but I run Karn Liberated in mine to deal with spot removal as it becomes necessary.

Trying out a new 100 @FNM tonight. I'll share the list later and tell you how it goes. 4 man pods. Might throw Karn in. I've been building in front of EDHrec for hours!!!

I did well. I won the 1st 4 man pod. 2nd place in the 2nd pod. (Opponent had 1 life left. My Malakir Bloodwitch was outstanding.) 3rd pod I finished 3rd, got beat by a mono-black guy who reanimated a Vorinclex. Lost to a 36 point Consume Spirit, after he had already hit a pretty big Exsanguinate.

My list is pretty strong. I'm going to play more to see what I feel is missing. Considering adding Perilous Vault.

I suggest using kolaghans command for an additional multi use artifact removal card. Braid of fire allows insane triggers from olivias first ability, only during upkeep though. Both incredible imo

Pwnographic, thanks for the suggestions! I've been pondering Kolaghan's Command for sometime now. I'll probably pick up a copy this summer as it's price drops with the approach of rotation. Braid of Fire was in the deck in a previous iteration. While it was awesome when I could play it turn two and let it build, it was just way too slow and forced me to tap land before drawing way too often. It came out in favor of a mana rock.

Hm, that's a good idea: Red Elemental Blast. Never thought about getting rid of pesky enchantments/counterspells this way!

sebvieira, I've gotten sick of Rhystic Study and Cyclonic Rift. Thought I would try to include something that might stop them on occasion. Few people expect a Mountain to become a Counterspell!

Hi, I built a deck inspired by yours but with budget restrictions, what do you think of these cards:

Bloodchief Ascension - Damage over time, extra good against graveyard/mill decks, and could possibly be used as a finisher with board wipes (then again, I use Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble in my deck for bigger combos).

Diabolic Revelation - Since you have mana ramp, being able to tutor multiple key cards at once can be really helpful. Also lets you tutor your infinite loop enchantments (Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond) and trigger cards if you want to.

Palace Siege - Useful to retrieve Olivia if she's constantly being destroyed without having to pay more mana each time, or else it's more damage over time. With Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots out, she can still swing every turn.

jpeloquin that's why Withering Boon is also fun :)

Bulbanard, glad to be of help!

I'm a huge fan of Bloodchief Ascension. I've put it in and taken it out of my deck about a dozen or so times. It's particularly fun with Mindcrank. Neither had significant impact individually, however, so I ended up taking them out. However, in a deck more focused on comboing, they can be fun.

Diabolic Revelation is another card that was in Olivia in an earlier iteration. It's a fine choice. I removed it to put more of an emphasis on the early game. But, if your games generally go longer, it can be a powerhouse. Also consider Increasing Ambition for a somewhat similar effect. It can be nice to grab one thing that you need NOW and then pick up two combo pieces later.

Palace Siege is another card that can certainly be fun. I'm more a fan of the Dragons mode than Khans. I think there are more effective dedicated recursion cards, such as Phyrexian Reclamation, if Khans is your primary reason for including this. I do like the versatility of this Siege. I would certainly consider it as an alternative to Yawgmoth's Will.

sebvieira, I have considered Withering Boon in the past, but don't have as much issue with creatures (I can just kill or steal them) as I do pesky blue players. That being said, it is certainly a fun card.

I've once cast Thief of Blood when one of my opponents was playing with Dromoka, the Eternal and it was hilarious. Suddenly his army was reduced to simple 1/1's and 2/2's while the thief was a massive +50/+50. Not to mention all the planeswalkers it killed. I've added it to my Olivia deck and never regretted it.

Oh, and if you can give it haste (shouldn't be too hard), well ...

You might consider adding Braid of Fire and Sword of Kaldra.

Braid gives you an increasing amount of red mana each turn, combine that with heartstone to just blast an ever increasing number of creatures each turn, and giving her the sword lets you turn olivia into an exile monster.

Thanks for the feedback, Esplodies!

Braid of Fire was in Olivia for a LONG time. Unfortunately, I found that drawing it after turn 5 or so resulted in it taking way too long to really pay off. It may find it's way back in some day... Heartstone will never return, unfortunately. The fact that it's universal means that my opponents generally get more effect out of it before I'm able to. Bant Blink decks love to activate Deadeye Navigator for U.

Sword of Kaldra is a fun idea. Certainly removes problems forever(ish). I'm a bit worried about the set-up cost, however. 4 to cast and another 4 to equip is hefty and removal (both creatures and artifacts) is rampant in the format. But, I'll have to try it. I may be surprised!
