Maybeboard

Here is my standard deck until, I hope, the next rotation. I did only one FNM with it, think that the deck is sweet, I really love it, but it did not go really well, so if you could give me some budget advices (all cards that have some value I get them in some booster pack, I did not buy them), I would really appreciate. Here is some explanations of my choices for the deck.

Maindeck :

  • Duskwatch Recruiter   : I did not play with the card at the FNM, so I do not know if it is good or not, but I played against bant company and found it really busted. Also, I think that the ability to Anticipate for a creature is good in the late game.

  • Sylvan Advocate : already a format's staple, it is really good, especially with Wall of Resurgence.

  • Avatar of the Resolute : it have reach and trample with a decent body that can deal serious damage to the opponent at the beginning of the game and his ability to get some +1/+1 counters is good in the mid/late-game. It can activate with Wall of Resurgence and Tireless Tracker.

  • Nissa, Vastwood Seer   : she is really good for searching for a land and to not miss any land drop and at the end of the game, she is awesome.

  • Wall of Resurgence : it is simply amazing, the 0/6 body gives you time to play your big threat and the 3/3 land combo nicely with the avatar and the advocate.

  • Tireless Tracker : his ability to put some clues is pretty good, it keeps you from running put of fuel in the late-game and can become really big really fast.

  • Bygone Bishop : it's doing pretty much the same thing as the tracker, but his ability to investigate, by my opinion, is better than the tracker's one.

  • Surrak, the Hunt Caller : he is really good, it have a good body (especially without Siege Rhino), and his ability to give haste to a Dragonlord Dromoka is awesome.

  • Dragonlord Dromoka : a giant creature that, if not destroy quickly, can become out of hand. Also, it can win you a game where you would think that you could not win, with his lifelink ability.

  • Woodland Bellower : it was a card that received a lot of hyped when it was spoiled but it did not go far after that. In the deck, it is really good. Putting him on the battlefield, search for a Wall of Resurgence or a Bygone Bishop and giving him haste with surrak is fantastic.

  • Silkwrap : it is a really good removal, it exile Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  , a flip Westvale Abbey   (his converted mana cost is zero), Hangarback Walker, all creatures from the bant company deck, etc.

  • Stasis Snare : destroy anything at instant speed is really good.

  • Pacifism : ok, I assume it is a little bit funcky, but it is doing what I want : "destroy" any creature. His only downside is against Eldrazi Displacer which can blink the pacified creature and destroy the enchantment. But when you are playing it on the opponent's ulamog and you look at his face just after, you know you make the right playing it in your deck. But if you anything better and budget to suggest, I will try it.

Sideboard :

  • Scour from Existence : I did not play it at the FNM and get crush by some Jund midrange planeswalker deck. I have the feeling that it can be good against slow planeswalkers (Chandra, Flamecaller and Sorin, Grim Nemesis ) and ramp deck. But I will take any suggestion you are going to give me.

  • Pacifism : against any deck that I would want more spot removal.

  • Hidden Dragonslayer : help to kill some big creatures while putting a 3/2 lifelink.

  • Clip Wings : really good against Archangel Avacyn  , a flip Westvale Abbey   and a Dragonlord Ojutai.

  • Tragic Arrogance : against aggro match up where I would like to have a sweeper.

  • Gaea's Revenge : it is INSANE against control match up. It is extremely difficult to destroy because of his pseudo-hexprood, it can not be countered and it have haste, so it will do at least 8 damages before the other player can respond with a clean the board (the only thing that can really kill it).

  • Jaddi Offshoot : I played it in the maindeck to finally switch him to the sideboard and replace him by Duskwatch Recruiter  . It is good against any ultra-aggro deck (white weenie and red deck wins) and against match up where you would want to gain some life.

I found the deck really really cool to play, but I think it miss a little piece to make it competitive enough. So, if you have any budget suggestions or questions about the deck, write it in the comments section and I will answer you as soon as possible.

Additional info : cards in the maybeboard are cards that I really want to play in the deck, but doesn't money to buy them. So, I will try to trade them and put them in the deck.
