Mono black control is one my favorite archetypes to play in EDH and I hope to bring that dream alive with the creation of this deck.

This is a deck with a huge instant package to help interact with Toshiro Umezawa as much as possible. While this deck is still totally functional without the general, it is preferred to get double value out of as many of your instants while keeping the opponent's board state somewhat manageable.

Since infinite colorless mana is almost useless in this deck there is only 1 combos to get you there; and as of right now, there are no ways to get you infinite colored mana. There are a few stax effects in Braids, Cabal Minion and Sheoldred, Whispering One. I may end up adding more stax effects over time after testing and playing with the deck over the next weeks/months.

There are two infinite combos in this deck utilizing Oathkeeper, Takeno's Daisho + Toshiro Umezawa for infinite recursion. The combo comes to fruition with either Ashnod's Altar + Blood Artist or Altar of Dementia combining for either infinite pinging damage or infinite mill, respectively.

Overall, this deck can be as 'mean' or 'nice' as you choose and that opens up the doors to be able to control a game and play it very politically or be as cutthroat as possible and achieve one of the two winning combos as soon as possible.

I would like to mention that there a few cards that are placeholders for the moment as I look for trades to some other stuff I'd like to get my hands on. These are the cards listed under 'maybeboard'
