Maybeboard

Competitive animar looking to win by assembling creature combos via tutors namely weird harvest. While it is a risky card, we can easily set up board states that allow us to win right after resolving the spell. We usually only need to cast harvest for 1-2 . Opponents will fetch whatever response they are packing but most aren’t prepared to Interact . With animar on on 3-4 counters we can fetch reckless fireweaver and statue. Cast the fireweaver for one red and then loop the statue bouncing ancestral statue to himself. This yields infinite damage to opponents . Alternatively once animar is infinite you can load a walking ballista that can kill the table in the absence of fireweaver.

If ancestral statue is out of the equation we have loops with kiri-oona and phyrexian metamorph.

For these loops to work we usually need 4-5 mana and a relevant number of life . Imperial recruiter is crucial in assembling the loops if the tutors like harvest aren’t available . Reckless fireweaver is a win con here in the kiri loops as well because it triggers on entry of metamorph everytime . Everything else in the deck is there to fuel this machine and protect the combo.

Testing Neoform and emergence zone from WAR. Emergence zone can threaten a win on any player’s turn at instant speed after interaction is exhausted if animar has enough Counters. The eldrazi boar has been great as a way to use animar as a plan C beater and eliminate a player via combat who is staxing us in lieu of removal.
