Commander: Damia, Sage of Stone

Sideboard

The name of the deck is "Just NO" because its foundation is centered around the key card: Natural Order and because it is a list of answers, and tutors to get my answers, and ways or recurring answers (i.e. "No, I counter that, No I kill that, No I'll counter that again. Oh? You ran out of gas? Let me start shredding your mana so you can't do anything else.").

This is my first edh and still, by far, my favorite to play with. I've gone through what seems like nearly every iteration of the Blue/Black/Green color wedge but this list, I feel, is the most powerful meta-hate cards and soul-crushing lockdowns.

The deck functions without a commander, but will use The Mimeoplasm for multiplayer games and Damia, Sage of Stone for 1v1 duels and versus decks without many creatures. Also, for duels, Wurmcoil Engine becomes Maelstrom Pulse or Fade into Antiquity (for indestructible artifacts and enchantments).

The deck's infinite combos transect the card Phyrexian Altar, which is harder for me to tutor it up and play, unlike Palinchron which is what Altar is place holding for.

The only card for this list that I don't own is Underground Sea, so if my opponent insists I use only cards I own, this slot becomes Creeping Tar Pit.

Thirst for Knowledge -> Ponder. TFK is a great card for any blue deck and especially those decks running recursion and artifacts. I ended up cutting it for ponder (begrudingly because I've got an FNM foil TFK) because there have been an occasional game where I've been off green mana and no way to tutor up a forest in U/B. Ponder is a 1 mana way of digging through the deck for that land I need, and, like TFK, is not dead late game. Since this deck, by choice, doesn't run a "big mana" theme, the 1cmc vs 3cmc helps out tremendously for conserving mana, also the ability to shuffle gives Top and Sylvan Library extra juice.

Living Deathfoil -> Decree of Pain. Living Death is an absolute house (a sweeper and mass reanimator rolled into one), but with less and less creatures in the deck, it was losing its support. Decree of Pain sticks out like a sore thumb at 8cmc but its a sweeper and mass draw in one card, and you can cycle it to kill most tokens, utility creatures, and replaces itself while being essentially uncounterable. It also takes care of Gaddock Teeg which is a card I always try to build my decks around, even if I haven't seen Teeg played in a while.
