What are some good piles for Intuition in this deck?

I usually use Intuition to get either 3 tutors or 3 rocks. You can also use this as a secondary Buried Alive at the end of turn to get the combo pieces but you will always end up with Kiki in your hand. So Intuition end of turn, get Phyrexian Delver, Kiki and Pestermite. Start of your turn, use Jace/Faithless Looting to discard Kiki, then reanimate Delver.

I like Intuition because it gives complexity as a tutor depending on what you currently need and it can add 2 sorceries or instants to the GY that Kess can use right away. So if you use this to get tutors by the end of an opponents turn and Kess is in play, youll have access to 3 tutor casts in just one turn.

Lastly, when you have Kess in play and you cast Intuition EOT, Yawgmoth's Will is something super powerful you can add to either hand or GY. Cheers!

You cannot reanimate with Necromancy on endstep, it gets sacrificed on cleanup step.

Is the Kederekt Leviathan combo worth considering in here? Maybe I'm overvaluing it because I usually play a Prossh deck and my meta also includes a Selvala brostorm player, but having that combo get established can be really frustrating if it gets pulled off quick enough. It feels like a fantastic "this board state is unacceptable" button.

What do you think of Spellseeker?

June 8, 2018 11:31 p.m.

infiniteimoc says... #11

i think the kederekt combo isnt as worth as just more wipes tbh. spellseeker is too narrow imo, i think i would rather run grim tutor over it, its pretty great in inalla or other re-animator decks.

What about as a budget replacement for Imperial Seal/Grim Tutor? I have every other tutor in the list. I have the rest of the list minus Timetwister, Mox Diamond, and duals.

SynergyBuild says... #13

They don't run Grim Tutor, three mana is a bit much.

I asked about Spellseeker. He said that Grim Tutor or Imperial Seal would be a better option, but both of those are cards outside my budget.

You can make the decklist without Spellseeker or Grim Tutor, mk?

Morphic Pool for Underground Sea? Morphic is not fetchable because it is neither swamp nor island right? Was that done due to budget considerations?

Which land do you suggest be remove in place of underground sea? You prefer Dark Petition more than Grim Tutor?

What cards will you add & remove if you have unlimited budget?

Why no underground sea with unli budget? Is dark petition better than grim tutor?

August 1, 2018 3:58 a.m.

infiniteimoc says... #21

the underground sea must have been an accidental swap, i meant to take out urborg and i personally believe dark petition is better than grim tutor for our list. you dump a bunch of stuff in the grave while we also play pretty controlly meaning that having the mana to pay the initial cost is possible. recouping 3 mana is pretty worth if you can do it

Seeker88 says... #22

You can left out other duals or shocks instead of underground sea since it produce ub unless you think ur and br are more needed in the deck?

August 1, 2018 4:13 a.m.

Seeker88 says... #23

Ok point taken. I was thinking grim requires you to tap 2 less mana which you can use for spell counters to protect your search. Dark petition gives 3 black mana back but you may have tapped out your blue mana in the process which makes you vulnerable to counters. sorry for late post re: underground sea (already answered).

Im not sure how useful are those 3 black mana you are getting back after you paid 5 mana with actual games to merit the spot. Does it outweigh these pros: With 3 cmc tutor you can cast it earlier, extra mana can be use to protect self or search, 3cmc more castable with heavy stax in play and less painful when countered, 3b mana can only be used to cast black spells as against 2 multi colored mana.

in my experience having a higher density of cheaper tutors means i see those more often than this in the early game. when im getting access to petition i usually have spell mastery and extra mana for counters. it also kinda forces the counter war forward instead of at the thing your trying to cast. if you win the war you end up with more resource than if you had been playing grim. you can proxy both and see how your experience differs from mine.
