Awesome work man, thank you for sharing it with us. I've just started to try to get into cEDH and the very in-depth guides like this are a godsend for me.

How about replacing sulfurous spring with Luxury Suite? We are already running Morphic Pool

Chart a Course vs Careful Study? How do you tell which is best?

August 15, 2018 5:33 p.m.

infiniteimoc says... #5

i like the modal nature of chart more than careful study.

Honestly apavel, plenty of lists run both, as good digging spells with some discard mechanics that can be abused with this deck's graveyard themes. Chart a Course is an actual card advantage spell sometimes, and worst case scenario is only card neutral, compared to Careful Study which is always card disadvantage unless you can use the graveyard. I like Chart a Course a little bit more, but only slightly, and a storm Kess list might rather the lower mana cost more than this deck, however I don't play Kess storm so don't quote me on it.

Which cards changed?

What do you think about Reflecting Pool? it has same mechanic as fellwar stone, only drawback is if you're playing first and it's the only land you drawn which i think isn't that much of a prob.

From WAR spoiler: Jace, Wielder of Mysteries 1UUU Planeswalker—Jace

If you would draw a card while your library has no cards in it, you win the game instead.

+1: Target player puts the top two cards of their library into their graveyard. Draw a card.

-8: Draw seven cards. Then if your library has no cards in it, you win the game.

Any replacement for Dack Fayden?

July 18, 2019 5:22 a.m.

infiniteimoc says... #13

There are a few changes that could be made, but nothing major. Ive heard positive things about narset's reversal and so thats what i would be looking at for testing. As far as a replacement for dack fayden goes, i would venture to say that new jayce is gonna replace him for better consultation lines.

Do you think we need vilis when we have jin gitaxias? Both or choose one? I'm not sure with replacing dack either, he draws deeper..

Also, not running Fiery Islet seems strange.

Perhaps we can change shivan reef into fiery islet for now? Tough choices for mana fixing rocks.. arcane signet will come out soon as well. If we are running jace then izzet talisman should replace rakdos talisman until arcane signet replaces both i think, 3 blues is quite heavy..

Uses or combo lines with Vilis, Broker of Blood??

August 3, 2019 11:05 a.m.

Seeker88 says... #19

Vilis combo with necropotence to draw tons of cards and it gets to draw whenever we pay life with fetches, fire covenant or toxic deluge. Combo with reanimate too, we get to draw as soon as it hits the board. But i think it's weaker option vs jin gitaxias and griselbrand. I dont think the added creature removal of vilis is worth it. Our life is a resource we cant afford to spend it too much. We up our mana curve with this update, dark confidant might hurt. Narset's reversal is probably a winner, a must. Need more testing with the changes.

Seeker88 says... #20

Vilis is probably better if we have infinite life lines so we can cast covenant and deluge to draw our entire deck but sadly we don't. It's a pseudo necropotence with some combo lines.

Hey is phyrexian delver really needed in this build? I was looking at the buried alive pile and I can’t see why he can’t be skipped. I have one, I just need to know if I should run it. Thanks!

Did you end up fully cutting Consecrated Sphinx ? Like, you would never consider it again? Asking for my own curiosity!

infiniteimoc says... #24

csphinx is still a fine inclusion and delver is def necessary.

I think that Cavern of Souls is a good inclusion.
