17 - 3 The True Standard Burn,

This is a deck we have been working on for over a month now to curb stomp the meta, and dumpster on anything with Green.

5-0 FNM, 4-1 FNM, 4-1 FNM, 4-1 Origins Gameday 3rd place.

The purpose of this deck is to ignore your opponents game plan and just race to the face.

Deflecting Palm - This card is a cheap burn card. It pretty much throws any creature or burn spell back at them for 2 mana. With so many red decks around its nice to be able to get Soulfire Grandmaster out and deflecting palm a Lightning Strike or Roast back at them gain life and swing in. This is huge in the bigger creature match ups, Throwing a Rhino attacks back at a player, and end step burning them helps turn the corner especially if you fix your next draw with a Magma Jet . Which leads me to my next card.

Magma Jet - This is here simply to help you curve out and hit your land or spell draws. Its very important in a deck that runs 3-4 colors to have draw fixing.

Exquisite Firecraft - This card is a must. Exquisite Firecraft + Jeskai Charm + Stoke the Flames are just turn after turn 4 to the face.

Soulfire Grandmaster - This card helps you play games with very little creatures well. The amount of life gained can become insane. Hitting 4 dmg burn spells, as well as the ability to gain huge life with Anger of the Gods + Searing Blood Post board.

Jeskai Charm - This card is another effective burn spell. 4 damage is nothing to laugh at. Also having the option to give your guys +1 +1 and Lifelink can really help against the aggro matches. Bouncing a creature on top of your opponents Library can be fun but its an option I rarely choose as I am usually just trying to win turn 5.

Atarka's Command - This card is where I am thinking about taking Thunderbreak Regent 's spot. I like that it is cheap burn as well as stopping people from gaining life. My Teamate is currently running this card in his configuration. Also taking out 1 mountain and adding 1 forest is an easy fix for the lands.

Pyromancer's Goggles - This fun of has done so much work I would run maybe 2 of. Every time this card has come out it has been complete gas. Since I added this in my deck I have gotten it out about 1 time against each opponent. When it lands you pretty much just win. Half of your burn spells turn into 8 to the face, and things like Searing Blood become Courser of Kruphix takes 4 your opponent takes 6.

In Closing - The only semi hard match up is the super fast creature heavy aggro decks, as they can fill the board and start getting in tons of dmg. The side board makes these match ups very much in your favor.

Will have more testing with this deck this week, getting ready for New Jersey SCG Open. I will post this weeks FNM and other results and keep changes to the deck listed.
