As someone who claims to love playing black decks, I cant stop making Temur commanders :P

This is a Xyris, the Writhing Storm “Group Hug” deck that hopes to win either through explosive combo turns or attrition with snake tokens.

The gameplan is to stay lowkey for the first couple turns, helping opponents draw cards or play lands with low cost things which also help us, like Collective Voyage, Howling Mine or Vision Skeins.

After a few turns we get Xyris out, which will give us a few chump blockers, and can help us draw a few cards. Its also where a bit of politic-ing can come in, because taking 3 commander damage for 3 cards is a great deal.

After a few wheel effects like Whirlpool Warrior or Time Reversal, we should have a lot of tokens/ mana/ cards, we try to win the game all at once buy turning snakes into gold. We can do this by sacrificing all the tokens to Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar, or preferably using Battle Hymn to let us keep our snakes, and floating a ton of mana to channel into an X draw spell like Minds Aglow or Prosperity. Then all we need is to have Impact Tremors out beforehand, or to cast Molten Psyche afterwards, and profit!

Of course we can always also win through combat, we've got Combine Chrysalis and Craterhoof Behemoth, after all.
