If I add a Sol Ring what should I take out?

I need to speed up being able to cast and attack with my commander. Leaning towards removing Rakdos Charm for Sol Ring. Also thinking of dropping Crucible of Worlds and Petrified Field to add Fervor and Hammer of Purphoros.

Rune-Scarred Demon and Utvara Hellkite

jbedard1128 in place of what? Utvara Hellkite has no ETB effects, and if Kaalia brings it in then it doesn't make a token until next turn.

when the hellkite enters the battlefield from kaalia he is considered attacking so you get a token as well because he himself is a dragon. I would switch Rune-Scarred Demon with Rakdos, Lord of Riots

Attacks and attacking aren't the same thing. Otherwise it'd be impossible to bring in Master of Cruelties.

From the rules:508.4. If a creature is put onto the battlefield attacking, its controller chooses which defending player or which planeswalker a defending player controls its attacking as it enters the battlefield (unless the effect that put it onto the battlefield specifies what its attacking). Such creatures are attacking but, for the purposes of trigger events and effects, they never attacked.

I play Kaalia of the Vast as well for my Commander Kaalia, the Purifier EDH. I rely heavily on Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots for protection and haste. I like Steelshaper's Gift, I know it's not common, but it basically pulls the Lightning Greaves for +1 CMC. I find a 3 CMC Lightning Greaves is very handy. I also use Stoneforge Mystic, not quite as cost effective, however, she could reduce your 7 CMC for Elbrus, the Binding Blade  ^Flip alternatively.

Steelshaper's Gift looks good but what would come out? Don't have any extra Stoneforge Mystic. I really wanna add Nahiri, the Harbinger but don't know what I'd drop for her.

Deflecting Palm Only redirects damage from a single source, targeting you (not creatures), very situational card

Other possible cards:

Aurelia's Fury Requires too much mana, although can tap blockers if it doesn't kill them

Lightning Helix 3 damage may be a little too small for most threats in commander, situational again

Ultimate Price Most of the time you see multi-colored commanders, I find it too restrictive, Swords to Plowshares

Crater's Claws Same as Aurelia's, too much mana, not really inline with the deck goal

Maybe one of the Mana stones? (NOT Sol Ring) Do you ever find 7 is too many? I'm still working on figuring that out in my Kaalia I play 4, probably too little, Darksteel Ingot / Commander's Sphere maybe to make room?

Deflecting Palm is for big commanders attacking me, not creature protection. I guess one or two of the other removal could go to make room for Gift and Nahiri. Aurelia's Fury is mainly to prevent creatures from blocking, removal in emergency.

The mana rocks have been very helpful. My mana base is the result of tweaking based off the recommendations of the Tolarian Academy YouTube video on building a three color commander mana base.

Id get rid of ob nix the fallen. Find room for cataclysm, impending disaster and winter orb, also put in stonforge. Master of cruelties, whispersilk cloak. Mother of runes helps as well.

Id also take out both akromas, add in Indulgent Tormentor

I already have Indulgent Tormentor, Cataclysm and Master of Cruelties. Akroma is the reason I built the deck in the first place. If you're suggesting how you built yours thanks anyway but I'd rather not.

Might want to think about removing your board wipes. And any removal that targets specific things. Might want to think about adding Angelic Arbiter and Thunder Dragon, also Hellkite Tyrant my viewpoint on kallia is to play creatures that control the field and act as removal. Angel of Serenity is good too. I dont use either rakdos cards. One hurts you as well the other to me just isnt worth it. Vampiric Tutor and Demonic Tutor and Rune-Scarred Demon should be in here. That way you can be able to almost always tutor avacyn to protect you from most board wipes. I dont use boardwipes myself because kaalia is all bout building board presence and locking your opponent down.by the time you have three creatures out someone should either be dead or people should be having a hard time doing anything. Id say landfall stuff is pretty bad with kallia imo. Your hope will be to get her out. Make her hexproof and then mld everyones lands. You dont need land cuz of kaalia. So you pretty much win if you can pull that off early.

Talisman of Indulgence > Rakdos Signet in my opinion. Costs 2 for 1 vs. 3 for 2, and you choose which color.

I haven't read your archive, I'm sure you don't want dragons, but Balefire Dragon and Hellkite Tyrant would be good ones if you waiver on that. If not your fine without!

Not a fan of Tariel, Reckoner of Souls too random for my taste, and power 4 is uninteresting. I'd rather have a resolved Baneslayer Angel or Angelic Arbiter or Angel of Serenity

Dragon Tempest (Even without Dragons) is a nice way to get some Haste on Kaalia of the Vast

Grand Coliseum doesn't seem necessary since it comes in tapped.

Since your are running Ob Nixilis, the Fallen and Command Beacon and Cataclysm already, maybe an Admonition Angel and Crucible of Worlds and abuse the Landfall and have a CMC 5 Kaalia of the Vast? Gives it a different Mid-game flavor though.

You could also take out a Always Watching you have so much control Cataclysm, Damnation, Wrath of God, Akroma's Vengeance, Anguished Unmaking, Crackling Doom, Mortify, Path to Exile, Terminate, Utter End, Valorous Stance... Not sure you need a blocker! Swords to Plowshares is missing, but I think you have enough control and you want to avoid giving away life for modular, understandably. Might be too much control.

Have you killed with a Elbrus, the Binding Blade  ^Flip? Always seemed fun, but such high CMC.

Nice angel/demon flavor, hope something here is useful for consideration anyway.+1.
