Hobbez9186 thanks I've got an idea of what I'll be keeping in the sideboard so that shouldn't be much of an issue now. I'm just glad it's semi competitive finally lol at least in my meta

Phat_Shadow taking out Chandra, Flamecaller is bout all that's needed to make it budget imo. Everything else doesn't cost much at all except for the 1 Atarka's Command I hope you enjoy this deck as much as I do.

Hey dude, nice deck. Elemental stuff aren't seen that often around here! Just a quick thing about your update.. As far as I understand Undergrowth Champion he wouldn't survive a Ultimate Price regardless of how many counters he has, since it doesn't deal damage but instead just destroys him straight up. Makes him a lot weaker but still good I guess.

RevengeOfZarnok that I know if I can get them to use that type of removal like that on him by all means I wouldn't be angry. I still have 13 other creatures that will live because he died. I'll take that any day. Haven't ran into that issue yet here, but if for some reason I do I'll adjust.

Good discussion on here. I don't have much to add but feel compelled to point out that Hobbez9186's comments seem to indicate the Elemental token from Akoum Stonewaker will still trigger Omnath's 3damage clause even if they do not die in combat and are left at end of turn. Just for clarity's sake, that is not true because the Stonewaker says they are exiled at end of turn, not sacrificed.
I like the deck and if I were playing standard atm, I'd like to run something like this.

Good point, I overlooked that, but still it's 3 damage from the attack or 3 from blocking and killing it which is still a nice trade.
I don't have it in front of me, but Chandra sacrifices them, (right?) which does work the way we want it to.
Either way, good catch.

And I had to look, she exiles too. But again, makes it so the damage is guaranteed (aside from another exile effect).
July 1, 2016 12:17 p.m.
Yes, it is 3 dmg either way from attacking, unless they block with a 0-power creature. It just doesn't interact with Omnath, which isn't a huge deal because he will not always be on the board.

Well, it does synergize with him by creating a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenerio, but he won't always be on the board.
You also could be crafty and sideboard in something like Dual Shot to kill the tokens after combat to turn the one cost split damage spell into 6 additional face damage. Nobody would see that finisher coming.

Nobody would see that at all and probably would be angry about it

I like this deck and Hobbez9186's suggestions. It seems as if crater elementals would work really well so surprised you took them out. I have a similar, but dirt cheap BFZ block restricted RG landfall deck.
When I started building it I went all aggro Scythe Leopard to Makindi Sliderunner to Valakut Predator to Grove Rumbler then bounce lands with Mina and Denn, Wildborn, but I struggled with it as if I didn't constantly attack my opponent would stabilise and win.
My deck has been much more effective since I balanced it out with Jaddi Offshoot and Seed Guardian then going for a mid to late win instead.
Undergrowth Champion looks awesome. I just ordered one for my deck. An alternative budget 3 drop could be Valakut Predator. With its +2 landfall scaling it make a good budget alternative, with more aggro. It has worked really well for me with Mina and Denn providing trample and can be played earlier than Grove Rumbler.
In relation to your sideboard, it seems you really don't like flying creatures! I'd probably swap some of those slots for Radiant Flames which is a bit more board wipey and can kill your elementals when Omnath in play.

Hey, I have a deck real similar to what whompkin described except that I put in Blisterpod for Scythe Leopard.
I had the same problems to where if my creatures died, I wasn't doing much. I tried adding Burn from Within and Rolling Thunder but unless I get the right draws, it doesn't work out. Theoretically, early aggro -> finish with DD to the face but only if the draws go that way.
In the end, I found that aristocrats likes having its creatures hated on and can turn hate into profit so it's fundamentally more competitive. I still kept this deck handy (with burn instead of omnath and walkers) just because it's fun and very budget.

whompkin Radiant Flames wouldn't do much in terms of board clearing on my end due to the deck having only two colors in it. Crater Elemental is still a maybe just down off the site he's still in testing lol. guessling Rolling Thunder didn't get a place due to it only being decent against tokens and being a mana sink I don't want to sink into and with my creatures having trample or able to gain trample I'm not worried about them chump blocking or slowing me down. Chandra's Ignition is more appealing due to the fact I can choose the amount of damage basically guaranteeing a board wipe. This deck has no issue making it to mid game 90% of the time. I keep my Jaddi Offshoot alive long as possible padding health so early burn or swings don't impact much at all especially with 2 or 3 on the board. Undergrowth Champion blocks any and everything the longer he lives which buys great time and some games him or Grove Rumbler end the game on their own without Chandra, Flamecaller or Omnath, Locus of Rage . The deck is very powerful if used properly.

Hey. When your Chandra tokens are Exiled, it doesn't trigger Omnath, Locus of Rage's ability, as when something is Exiled it doesn't count as dying.

Yes I know but if theyre blocked and killed they do. So that's still six damage and if let through that's 3 free damage. A win win in my book.

I've been playtesting with Crater Elemental for about 2 weeks now and I really like the card. I also love the turn 2 and 3 play of Akoum Stonewaker I'm torn right now and not sure whether you swap the two or leave it as is. Any suggestions? Maybe drop the Chandra, Flamecaller into the side? That hurt me to say because she's normally out on turn 4 or 5 and is very consistent with pressure so I'm not sure lol help please?

See what happens if you go down to 23 lands and lose a mountain and a forest. If you find yourself not hitting land drops (which you should be fine) then Chandra is unfortunately the best swap out unless you put the Crater in your sideboard in place of Plummet. Clip Wings get's rid of Indestructible flyers like Ormendahl. If you like Plummet or it works better in your meta, then just trim a few cards from 3 to 2 to make room.
If you really are getting Chandra down that consistently then that would really be a tough call, even her "0" is amazing to basically cycle through your deck to help you get set up. I've gone between 22 and 25 lands in my landfall deck and 23 has been the right number for me, especially since there are so many ways to just go get that land when you need it. I'd try that first so you can keep everybody. That only puts 2 Craters in main board though, so you'd have to decide if you want a third one to replace a Grove Rumbler or a Jaddi Offshoot, but otherwise you could easily put 1-2 extra copies in the sideboard and swap them in if you are up against faster aggro and need more defense to get going.

I'll test at 23 lands and 2 Crater Elemental to see how that works. If I need the other 2 craters then 1 Chandra, Flamecaller and maybe a 1 Grove Rumbler can take a seat and see how that works for me.

Sounds good :)
Let me know how it works out. I'm actually really looking forward to the next block, Kaladesh, because we may see some cards similar to Young Pyromancer to improve the tribal drops and build around Omnath even more. I'd love Spark Elemental as well. We'll see what happens in the coming months, but I'm pretty sure that I'll be transitioning to a Modern build once we start losing cards in Standard, and there are a LOT of possibilities to be had there.

Yea I hope we get pieces to keep it standard viable but if not I'll be going the modern route also amd trying new things for standard.

Now you just need to whittle down the sideboard to 15 and you're official :)
Nicely done cleaning up the presentation, too.
