Xyris, the Writhing Storm. Since her build, she has become one of my favorite decks to play. It was my first token swarm deck, and the fact that I give my opponents massive card draw also makes it so my echantments aren't targetted as much as others.

This deck utilizes Xyris to get massive ammounts of snakes on the board. These snakes can be used to simple attack, or can be thrown with Goblin Bombardment, used as a mill engine with Alar of the Brood, or after attacking hit everyone with Throne of the God-Pharaoh. Hero cards in this deck are Teferi's Puzzle Box and suprisingly Strixhaven Stadium

The only issue I seem to run into, is because I am letting people draw and wheel through there cards, we usualy end up with the best stuff in everyones deck seeing play. While this does sometimes cause me trouble, it also makes for quicker games, and everyone loves to draw. I have currently 10 counterspells in here to help combat that.

I woud welcome any suggestions. (Dont want Purphy or Impact Tremorsfoil as I already have 2 different ETB damage decks ( Heart of Black Coal - Ayara ETB trigger EDH and The Fat Red Line - Purphoros EDH )

Heroes

  • Teferi's Puzzle Box – If this and my commander can stay on the table for a round I will usually have 10-20 snakes by my next turn.
  • Throne of the God-Pharaoh – If I attack with 15 snakes, even if 5 of them end up dying to blockers, I then go on to do 10 damage to each opponent.
  • Goblin Bombardment – This one is usually a game ender. I can attack to kill a couple people then throw my snakes a the last player.
  • Altar of the Brood – Mill isn't usually a viable option for the entire table, but there is always that one player who already has built a draw or wheel strategy into his deck. In my time playing this deck, I have only ever milled one person out, but its still an extra thing people have to worry about.
  • Sakashima the Impostor and/or Spark Double – These are almost always copies of my commander. Basically like having a couple extra Parallel Lives in play.

Updates Add

Played last weekend, and after my commander was destroyed twice and all artifacts were exiled, i no longer had the mana to get my commander out again.. Re-tooling a little, removing some dead cards like Multani, Maro-Sorcerer and Pact of Negation... And adding some Greaves and a Cultivate

Also noticed that i only had 99 cards (including my Commander).. my Wheel and Deal has disappeared.. Going to have to get a new one. For now i will fill the slot with a proxy of my Wheel of Fortune. I only own the one, but proxy it in 2 (now 3) different decks.
