This deck has a lot of potential T2 or T2 wins, such as T1 land, Glistener Elf. T2 land, Assault Strobe, Groundswell or Might of Old Krosa. alternately there is T1 land, Glistener Elf. T2 land, Distortion Strike, Groundswell or Might of Old Krosa, Mutagenic Growth x2. I'm not even sure how many T2 or T3 wins in this deck there are, but I do see them more often than one would expect. So now let's discuss the sideboard. Thoughtseize, a very effective hand removal spell, is in the sideboard, rather than the mainboard. This is because it is more control than aggro, but is absolutely necessary when going against hardcore combo decks that need very specific things to win, and on game 1, you really don't know the combo, so the usefulness of Thoughtseize is diminished quite a bit. Next, let's briefly describe why Fog is in the sideboard. When you play against mono red goblins or just mono red aggro, what is the best response? No combat damage! After that, we have Path to Exile, which is in there purely for when playing against monsters and aggro, and will only be put in if the 2 on the mainboard are insufficient, such as when playing against monsters. And now, Pithing Needle. This card gets an A+ in effectiveness against planeswalkers, combo decks that focus on say Deathrite Shaman, and anything that is very heavy in activated abilities. Next, we have Spellskite. Normally, in a sideboard, Spellskite is used to counter infect, but in our sideboard, it is there to stop burn or removal from totally shutting down our infection. Finally, we have Swan Song. This card is excellent in modern, as it does counter for one, even if it gives your opponent a cheap creature. I feal that letting our opponent deal damage is ok as long as you can outrace them, which Swan Song gives you the ability to do more than it does otherwise. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to let me know, as I will be running this deck for quite some time, and I want it to be as efective as possible!
