Though the average CMC of this deck is 2.3-2.6, and all but Shalai, Voice of Plenty can be be cast at 3cmc or lower, i still consider this deck to be a midrange deck. The reason for this is because the winning plays are usually from pumping creatures with Shalai, Voice of Plenty, Venerated Loxodon and Hadana's Climb  . Our front lines are quite hard to kill, Knight of Grace being hexproof against black and having first strike, and Adanto Vanguard able to become indestructible.

We have some lifegain to accommodate Adanto Vanguard though Knight of Autumn and Healing Grace(this card is under-appreciated. its basically a 6 lifepoint swing for just 1 mana) Dive Down help us protect our creatures, while Conclave Tribunal help deal with opponent stuff. Anticipate is just a good card to cycle through the deck.

This deck doesnt necessarily have a heavy focus on anything, its just a collection of very good cards that can work together in some way, shape or form. the idea is to out-value your opponent.
