Vault Skirge doesn't do much for you here. Maybe try some cheap hand disruption in the form of Tidehollow Sculler? It allows you to set them back while putting something on the field, and if they need the card they need to use removal that would be better spent on getting rid of your other creatures. It also gives you more proactive things to do on your second turn. Otherwise, I think that the deck just has a problem with the number of certain cards it is running. Running 4 Courser of Kruphix feels a little redundant, and the 3 Anguished Unmaking and 4 Go for the Throat seem a little unnecessary. The life loss with Anguished Unmaking seems like it could lead to some bad hands against aggressive decks, and the added removal with Go for the Throat seems like it could be pretty dead against artifact decks like Affinity/Robots or against decks with few creatures (having multiple removal spells while your opponent has no creatures doesn't make one smile). I think that taking out 1 Anguished Unmaking for 1 Murderous Cut and 1 Courser of Kruphix and 2 Go for the Throat for 3 Vampire Nighthawk seems like a better swap. Murderous Cut is a sweet spell that can fairly easily sneak in as a 1 cost unconditional kill spell as the game progresses. Vampire Nighthawk is a sweet card that gives you a threatening creature whether it is an attacker or blocker, and gives you some more defense against enemy flyers or can get in for damage over otherwise clogged boardstates. It can help a lot against aggro, as going from it turn 3 into Siege Rhino turn 4 can be all the stabilizing you need to get back into the game.

I tried keeping my suggestions at a budget, I hope I could help, good luck with the brew!

I think you can improve your removal. Go for the Throat is going to work nicely against anything except affinity, since you're also running the playset of Path to Exile. Thus Doom Blade is for all intents and purposes there to destroy artifact creatures. As a result I'd just replace it with Kataki, War's Wage. I'd also consider a single copy of Murderous Cut, or Ruinous Path, or both. Multiple copies of either of those aren't very useful but both cards offer unconditional removal and Ruinous Path can kill an Emrakul since it's a sorcery.

I like the build though, +1 from me.

The above suggestions are on point. I would also consider a play set of Llanowar Elves or Elves of Deep Shadow to really allow you to catch up to very fast decks. This would enable a Turn 2 Courser of Kruphix or Lingering Souls, or a Turn 3 Siege Rhino - much more effective than your Vault Skirge for instance.

good deck theme. abzan is a tier 1 deck. I would just continue to play test until you figure it out and tweak it right. net decking helps a lot because you can see what the rest of the people are using. and blogs show great reasoning behind the chosen cards. and youtube shows great matches and how cards should be used. obviously I don't see any goyfs or lilis or confidants; but who knows maybe all your creatures get there. I noticed you don't have any thougthsieze or inquisition to kozileks but you do have a bunch of creatures and some spells so idk. I think anything beyond pay 4 mana cost in modern is too much but I have been proven wrong before. nice deck.

What about simple Doom Blade, Murder or Murderous Compulsion instead of Go for the Throat and Murderous Cut?

Tested against my tokens. That Ghostly Prison did work pre board. Vampire Nighthawk as a 4-of is a good fit. Will have to check it out when I get a bit more time.

Brutal Hordechief seems like an interesting inclusion here. You can activate his ability using white mana, but the drain ability just seems good on its own.
