"Zombies are bad!", "They can never be competitive!", "You need a balanced deck with a lot of interaction and a good mana curve!" - blue players probably. The folly of non-zombie players making zombie decks is that they try and use non zombie cards in a zombie deck. Card draw? Cryptbreaker, Archghoul, Fell Stinger. Ramp? Shambling Ghast. Late game threats? Champion, Death Baron, Tainted Adversary, Meathook. Removal? Murderous Rider, death baron (the best removal is forcing blocks). Early aggro? Champion, Midnight Reaper, Jadar. "But you're a creature deck, one wipe and you lose!" - non-zombie player. You wipe the board, I tap Cryptbreaker in response, zombies die, I draw 4 zombies from Archghoul, immediately have 4 more zombies on the board from Midnight Reaper, I play another Archghoul on my turn, you wipe and I draw five, repeat ad nauseum. Meathook and Deadly Dispute are the odd ones out, but zombies need a handicap. Rank 1 decks couldn't survive unless we board wiped ourselves and sacrificed our own zombies for our own amusement. So, go forth and play zombie solitaire and board wipe yourself until you win!
