UW Tempo deck, some overlap with White aggro but this deck doesn't fold to Archon of Absolution or sweepers since it can interact with them.
Gameplan is to play early Watcher of the Spheres or Luminarch Aspirant which can snowball out of control easily. You have Selfless Saviour, Concerted Defense and Linvala, Shield of Sea-gate to defend your creatures. Brazen Borrower and Unsubstantiate are to set your opponent back from developing their board.
Reidane, God of the Worthy tax on 4 mana plus non-creature spells protects the deck against both sweepers and powerful artifacts in Embercleave and the Henge. Most high tier decks in standard rely on these midgame to stabilise the board or win the game outright so just having this creature out is often a must-answer threat. It's the best card in the deck and does double work as a threat and as an answer.
The effect of all these tempo plays is that it gets under control and can outrace aggro, especially with the Lifelink from Staggering Insight.
Just hit mythic after playing at a very casual pace so I have some ideas about the matchups.
Deck is very favoured against Sultai Ultimatum, if they don't draw a critical mass of cheap removal or discard they just can't win this because their expensive spells get pushed back/countered. Played against this lots, never lost a match to it.
Favored against Temur Ramp, they only have a few spells/creatures we care about and can outrace the rest in the air.
Favoured against Red Aggro - This red deck is a lot slower than previous red decks. It feels very linear and predictable with relatively expensive spells. It's possible to lose if you stumble but with the lifelink in this deck you're definitely favoured. Sideboard Baneslayer Angel is hilarious against Goldspan Dragon.
Favoured against White Aggro. You're the control deck here, you have all the tools to pick them apart and nothing they have is very good against you. Postboard Archon of Absolution wins you the game on the spot, never lost to this deck.
Even against Rogues. Our flying creatures are bigger which is nice so we are the aggro deck here, long game is bad so make them have their counters or at least make them use it and just keep pressure on them.
Not favoured against Cycling. Specifically the Improbably Alliance version that gums up the skies with creatures. It's not a washout but the cycling isn't something you can really interact with. Reidane delays the Zenith Flare and Brazen Borrower is good against the fox but you need your cards to match up with their threats. This is a tricky one.
Very unfavoured against Naya Adventures - Specifically the version with the Clarion Spirit, Jaspera Sentinel and Giant Killer are all cards we don' want to see. It can be really explosive and gum up the board with creatures very quickly but sometimes loses to itself because the mana requirements are so bad.
Very unfavoured against Green Midrange. This deck has enormous creatures that come out explosively and a surpising amount of reach creatures. Gemrazer, Vivien, Monsters Advocate and Elder Gargaroth are all very bad and need to be answered and they're likely to draw many of these.
