Deck based around cheap creatures with 'heroic' abilities and fun with Battlefield Thaumaturge. Looking to make my cheap, yet hopefully powerful heroic creatures unblockable through the use of
Icy Blast

Gods Willing
, and Aqueous Form.
Battlefield Thaumaturge is there to make really cheap 'strive' effects which will target lots of my heroic creatures and/or my opponents creatures (main cards to work with this
Icy Blast
, Curse of the Swine, Aurelia's Fury,
Launch the Fleet
, and
Phalanx Formation
).
I love the Daxos of Meletis + Aqueous Form combo! His exiling cards and life gain along with the refuge lands was a nice little synergy I discovered after I found that the Temple lands from Theros were too expensive for my tastes...
Questions:
Do I really need
Akroan Crusader
? In testing he sometimes seems underwhelming, especially if I can't get a
Phalanx Leader
to make the Akroan stronger... I was thinking -3

And lastly for my heroic triggers: should I keep the kinds of instants/sorceries I have, or go with cheap, single target cards like those in the maybeboard? Kinda like a

combo. I was going to do this, but then all my heroic triggers don't go off and I don't get all the extra effects. Opinions?
Any other switches or card recommendations you can give me? I'm trying to keep the Theros theme here in terms of creatures, but I am deviating in other spells and such as with Aurelia's Fury and
Icy Blast
