Thanks for your comment! I think we're going to have to start from the ground up with your deck though. What is the number 1 thing you want to do with it? I.E. Burn them, control them, make tokens, aggro?

The thing i want to do is either a: control them with walkers and removel until mid game where i can win with creaturesB: win with damage from creatures and burn.

ZooGambler i also have many ways to burn them from a lighting strike to chandra's ultimate.

Im not sure how competitive you want this to be, or how much money you want to invest but I fear for the inconsistency of your deck. I'v been play testing it for about 40 minutes now and I'm finding way to much land and there is very little you can do early game.

Dig is a great card if you can effectively use the delve, but without fetch lands or something to build a graveyard fast and early its almost a dead card.

I would suggest max 24 lands if you can have at least 4 as fetch then you can run 3 Narset and another monastery mentor. I don't overly see the point of the Reality Shift doesn't seem to fit the deck overly well. I would drop that and add in the Temer Battle rage for sure. That with Shu Yun you can give 2 people double strike for 4 mana as well as triggering other prowess.

Im not sure how I personally feel about running 4 Banishing Light main deck getting stuck with them early on feels like a waste. I would sideboard all 4 and run 4 Generator Servant. It will cut back on your prowess but it will be super helpful on getting your walkers and Narset out really early.

Any way thems my thoughts.

i would check this angus300's deck out, i have been playing this since close to khans release and with this build you shouldnt have any problems early game, and i feel it uses narset at close to optimal efficiency, as the only creatures in it are narset and generator servant. I've lost games due to bad narset flips, you dont want to have a bunch of creatures that you cant play off narset clogging up your top 4, trust me.

Its okay because i can filter them out early game. I usally dont have a problem with bad flips except for lands.

possible problem I see is that your game changing cards all cost too much mana and you don't have fast enough mana ramp to make use of them. Once Narset gets played, you won't have to worry about mana anymore, but even if narset starts letting you drop planeswalkers, you might be exiling the creatures you need to defend them. If the strategy is to use narset to overwhelm the other player with planeswalkers, I think you might need a few more planeswalkers in the deck.

Ya, ive been looking to get a narset transcendt. But ive never really had a problem with snagging creatures via Narset.

i think your deck looks like its trying to do a lot...well if i was working with it i would fix the lands more and run 4Mystic Monastery 4Flooded Strand and have 3 islands and 4 plains then run one or two of the life lands in each color that your running to make up for the fetches so it would come out to be about 4 life lands, some go's for the Scry lands and then if you have room put in a few pain lands. then i would say look into profound journey as a 1 or 2 of and Seismic Rupture in place of Circle of Flame and im not sure about Monastery Mentor i think Soulfire Grand Master would work better and then Dragonlord Ojutai with Ajani Steadfast works great and i think anyone who runs red should have Thunderbreak Regent and then add burn and counter to top it off but thats me and i would have to see your brew at work to tell you what i really think would halp but hope this info can help you and Jeskai Ascendancy

oh if you need some ramp look into Raise the Alarm with Springleaf Drum

Everything you are saying about the deck is correct. But it is too mana hunger to be effective, you are describing a perfect scenario in each instance. Play testing this was a nightmare, it is a very situational deck which may work but just doesnt have quick enough answers for other decks. I would recommend running less plainswalkers for some more utility to deal with other things.Get rid of keranos for another brimaz, swap dig through time for treasure cruise since you are running the narset and are dumping things late game. My current standard deck is turn 5 max for win and you arent getting some of your combos out until turn 6-8.Just a suggestion

Vatofrog says... #22

Can you explain what you mean by mana hungery? Also thanks for the suggestions! I have keranos for lategame draw AND burn! Dig is for getting those perfect spells and cycling through my deck late game, especially for narset. Again, thanks for the suggestions!

Vatofrog if i could help you i would do exactly what Croxy0 said. Its a great deck but doesnt have enough fast response to creatures/planeswalkers. Also i dont see this doing well against like a U/B control per se.

Vatofrog says... #24

I playtested against u/b control on untap yesterday abd i beat him 2-1. With hammer i can pull through. But you're right about not being fadt enough but ill see about that with birmaz. Looking to see if i should add some generator serverents

Im working on fixing my manabase right now. After i finish that im going to put ALL my attention on my control/tempo aspect. Im seriously thinking of replacing both digs with Anticipate to quickin my game. But ill see about that as soon as i fix my mana base. As soon as i do that ill then replace a narset with a Narset(planeswalker)
