Eidolon of Countless battles is much better than unflinching courage, its like ethereal armor but for enchantments and creatures. add some more keen senses: card advantage is really important in this deck. i play 3. I'd also say spellskite 1 or 2 cause of twin, infect, and other bogles decks. 3 spirit mantles is also advisable because they are evasion. please take a look at my deck: Murder, What For

I would never add Eidolon of Countless Battles to a Bogle deck. The reason for this is that its bestow cost is too high. Getting more than 3 lands on the board in a bogle deck should not be an aim and having the Eidolon on the opening hand would not please me at all. If I was ever to add a 4 CMC card to this deck, It would probably be Sage's Reverie as it essentially is an Ethereal Armor and it would refill the hand nicely. But again, CMC of 4 is just way too high. By the way, Unflinching Courage provides evasion as well and I believe that it perfectly fits into the mix, as it helps to get through the defenses, provides lifelink that might be crucial against burn/aggro decks and boosts the creature, all of that in one card, which is awesome.

Spellskite is a sideboard tech more than anything else and I have other sideboard options against twin. So far, twin is one of the favorable match-ups even without the Spellskite. I do not have any infect deck in my area and therefore I am in absolutely no need for the Spellskite.

And no, adding more Keen Senses is not an out, I've been piloting this deck for a year now and in every single match they have only functioned as placeholders for the upcoming sideboard tech. I believe that having an additional Path to Exile in the main or the Qasali Pridemage is way better as these cards provide some ways how to play against certain strategies such as twin without that much fear even in the first game of the match.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions, though.

Looks like you can cut the Hallowed Fountain in favor of something more on color.

Thanks! I changed my sideboard here a few weeks ago and cut blue out of it so that the sideboard is more generic and fits wider meta, but forgot to cut the Fountain. Thanks again for that reminder.

My friend built almost this exact same deck a couple of weeks ago. He went from fairly casual to absolutely dominating the scene at our college. Between vigilance, lifelink, and protection from creatures, there's nothing we can do to stop him. The only counterstrategy I've found against it is a Blasphemous Act, which nukes your own creatures, or a Deflecting Palm, which very specifically avoids using the word "target". Very good deck.

If you are running white and you often encounter this deck, you may consider adding Celestial Flare to your sideboard, or even mainboard. It is great against this strategy. You may also consider cards like Back to Nature, or Paraselene in white.

Those would be really nice. I'll pick a few up, thank you!

No problem! ;) You may even consider something like Patrician's Scorn if you have a deck where you often cast white spells as you wouldn't spend time and precious mana on casting the Scorn.

I run a very similar deck, if you want to check it out.

I have gone without Keen Sense and Kor Spiritdancer in favor of Helm of the Gods and Silhana Ledgewalker respectively. Have you had much experience with either?

Also, the SB's are pretty similar (but I have a slightly more budget-geared deck). If you have any questions about my choices or reccomendations, I'd be happy to collaborate.

I'm currently running one Silhana instead of one Spiritdancer. I'm not planning to add any other Silhanas right now, when I tested more of them, I used to be flooded with bogles and hadn't had the opportunity to cycle with the Spiritdancer. Also, Spiritdancers use to put your opponents into very awkward spots as they want to side out their removal, but at the same time they are afraid of the Spiritdancer, therefore their sideboarding is never optimal.

And I'm not a very huge fan of the Helm, although I understand the choice. If I ever was to play it, I'd probably run it as a one-of. One can say that it can help rebuild, but from my experience, if this deck needs to rebuild, it is pretty much dead anyway, so no help there. The only reason to play it might be that sometimes the Ethereal Armor is missing and then the Helm would help. But again, that is the only spot. And, of course, the Helm doesn't cooperate well with Stony Silence and Suppression Field, which is another very strong reason for not playing it. And, as an added bonus, it is slow :D It is far from the Ethereal Armor level, on T2 it does nothing, on T3 it adds the maximum of +2/+2 which is not very impressive..

But thanks for the comment, I will check your version later.
