Gameplan: Bounce, counter, and lock down everything until their faces are as blue as your beautiful islands. Engulf the Shore is incredible, so much so that I'm not sure this deck is going to be feasible once it rotates.
After stalling during the early game, you really get things going as soon as you can drop Metallurgic Summonings. Now you continue disrupting their plans as usual, except that you now get sweet, sweet tokens to beat face and block with.
The general wincon is to Awaken Part the Waterveil, which nets you a 6 power land and a 6 power token. Swing for 12 plus whatever other creatures you've got on board (gearhulks and tokens) on your extra turn.
Neat interactions: Torrential Gearhulk targeting Engulf the Shore clears their board of those pesky creatures AND returns your gearhulk to hand so you can use him again. I think the age-old adage goes something like "a torrential in hand is better than one on the field."
Multiple Metallurgic Summonings on board should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment.
I've had great success with this deck in my meta. This deck is not for people who don't have patience, though. I've had to go to turns in many matchups.
Please let me know if you like the deck, and more importantly, I'm interested in any and all feedback the community can give me! How do you think this deck would perform in your standard meta? Do you think its utility can survive post rotation? Let me know your thoughts please!
