Why Slimefoot?

Aristocrats in the best tribe for it, since most cards you want in a Saproling deck also double as sac outlets.

Furthermore, your Saprolings can double as protection while you drain the table, or work your way to a combo. Put them in front of attackers and then sac them for added benefits! Not to mention, you're gaining life when they die, no matter what.

Everything you want in an aristocrats deck can be found here: easy sacrifice engines, ways to protect yourself, easy fodder generation, and an aristocrat in the Command Zone!

Finally, Slimefoot is a cutie. So why not?

Combo!

There are really only two different combos in this deck. However, there are many ways to accomplish each one.

1- Generate infinite Saprolings / Forests

2- Infinitely generate/sacrifice Saprolings and infinitely drain each opponent.

The second combo is the one with far more iterations, and generally what you're going to be able to more easily piece together.

Choices

While you are in the best two colors to tutor for what you need (although white would be a welcome help), I have decided to not put any tutors in this deck, and instead substitute those for large amounts of draw.

This functions twofold, both making the deck more versatile in playstyle, to avoid trying to combo out as soon as possible, making you find more interesting interactions to win. It can also provide you many surprising routes to victory, so that your opponents can't keep track of every route you can take.

However, if you were looking for a more competitive build, cards like:

Can all be replaced with tutors, such as:

All of which are excellent replacements.

I have also decided not to put Altar of Dementia, a very popular card for this kind of effect, in, as Slimefoot or any other Aristocrat would kill every opponent much faster than Altar of Dementia could kill even one.

Vraska

Finally, the inclusion of the Vraska planeswalkers is a bit controversial, and is perhaps not the most powerful choice (despite the useful removal built into some of them). They're included not necessarily as especially synergistic choices to Slimefoot's overall strategy, but because pulling off the alt. win with their ultimates is incredibly empowering , and Slimefoot is very useful for creating the tokens to protect them, and finding Doubling Season quickly with big draw potential.
