Sideboard

I have no idea how I'm not sick of playing Goblins yet. It's been my jam since Khans block, by far one of my favorite standard formats I've played in. After M15 rotated out, I honestly had no clue what to do, so I kinda got out of the game for a bit. A couple of months ago, however, I decided to get back into the game! Modern ahoy. I played Eightwhack for a bit, and it was fun, but it felt really incomplete. Most mono-red decks are considered the budget option, and I suppose compared to other decks in the format, the same could be said for Eightwhack. So I thought about what other color would work well in it. Green! Green gives me access to a lot more options, sideboard and main. In mono-red builds, sideboarding is a chore. For instance, there's not a single mono-red enchantment hate card. Green lets me use Back to Nature to murder the shit out of Leyline of Sanctity, and by extension, hurl my tiny little goblin children at the local White Weenie player with Goblin Grenade. Plus, I have an answer to fliers now that I have Atarka's Command. I don't waste sideboard space on Roast now, weeee. It also gives me access to Ancient Grudge, my favorite artifact hate card. Buffspells like Rancor and Atarka's Command also help a bunch when trying to make a lethal board. Green is a great crutch for a deck that would be otherwise limping by!
