Mono Red Prison

Modern*

Sideboard

Known by many names in both Modern and Legacy; Free Win Red/Pyro Prison/Mono Red Prison. The end goal and game plan is all the same. Punish the greedy mana bases of the respective formats best decks (In modern, Humans, Jeskai Control, Jund, Tron etc) with Blood Moon. Disrupt the opponent's early game plans and interaction with Chalice of the Void. Stop your opponent's clock with Ensnaring Bridge and power out your threats as quickly as possible. The three primary win conditions are: Goblin Rabblemaster, if left unchecked this creature gets out of hand and presents a very fast clock. Chandra, Torch of Defiance gives card advantage, ramp and a very powerful, game winning ultimate. The other planeswalkers in the mix (and it depends on the day of the week wich are played) are: Karn, Scion of Urza, Koth of the Hammer and Sarkhan, Fireblood

The other massive threat is the standard powerhouse Hazoret the Fervent. Hazoret can be a fast clock or effective blocker if you're empty handed (this deck often is), but can also sit behind a bridge and throw the less useful cards in your hand at your opponent's face for damage that doesn't target (fringe upside). This creature being hard to remove for decks without path to exile, Karn Liberated or sac effects like Liliana of the Veil can be a huge swing in your favor. I cannot say enough good things about Hazoret.
