My take on Alesha, Who Smiles at Death . None of the creatures except for Sun Titan, Zealous Conscripts, Restoration Angel and Reveillark have power greater than 2, so they can basically all be reanimated with Alesha's ability.

This is my main EDH deck and the most expensive deck I've ever owned in any format. I'm always looking to improve it. Comments and criticism are appreciated.

This deck is very creature-focused. I tried to get as many effects as possible stapled onto creatures with power 2 or less so I can recur them with Alesha.

Below are the main categories of cards in the deck:

TOKEN MAKERS
I have a bunch of guys like Siege-Gang Commander and Angel of Invention who enter the battlefield and give me tokens.

SAC OUTLETS
I always want to be able to sacrifice creatures that I pull out of the yard with Alesha so that I can be sure I can recur their effects next turn if I want to. Things like Ashnod's Altar and Viscera Seer are great here. It's important that I am able to sacrifice creatures even if I don't have mana up, so every sac outlet in the deck is free. Fallen Ideal is great because it can make Alesha big enough to kill people a lot faster and it comes back to your hand if she dies.

RAMP
Ramp is important in EDH, but not quite as important in this deck. You really only need Alesha and a couple of lands. But it doesn't hurt to have more lands, and some of these ramp pieces are creatures, which makes them recurrable. Solemn Simulacrum really shines here. I also of course have Sol Ring, Chromatic Lantern and the signets. Shoutout to Sword of the Animist, this card is great.

COMMANDER PROTECTION
Alesha has to attack every turn. You don't want her to die to opponents' blockers. The deck doesn't function nearly as well without her on the battlefield. The all-stars here are Whispersilk Cloak and Darksteel Plate, both of which protect her from removal and allow her to attack with impunity. I love Key to the City too, it functions as a discard outlet, allows Alesha to attack, and can draw you a card for 2. Mother of Runes is also amazing. If Alesha does happen to die, I can always use Command Beacon to cast her again for 3.

SPOT REMOVAL
Sometimes you just have to deal with an opponent's threat. All my creatures are pretty small and will be outclassed by opponents' creatures, so I need a lot of ways to deal with them. Fiend Hunter can be sac'd as it enters to permanently exile something. Sometimes, though, you need an instant-speed answer, which is what cards like Swords to Plowshares are for. Creatures aren't the only thing you need to get rid of, so I have Leonin Relic-Warder as a Fiend Hunter for artifacts and enchantments as well as instant-speed artifact/enchantment hate like Return to Dust. Utter End and Anguished Unmaking are also great because they can hit any permanent.

OTHER CARD ADVANTAGE
In EDH, you can never draw too many cards. Phyrexian Arena is a great for this. Skullclamp and Necropotence are broken. I've heard people say not to play Necropotence in a graveyard-focused deck, but those people are wrong, it should be played in every black deck. Discarding to exile does not hurt as much as people seem to think it does.

GRAVEYARD HATE
If I'm up against another graveyard deck, Agent of Erebos and Bojuka Bog can potentially stop it right in its tracks.

BOARDWIPE
Important in EDH. Unfortunately, I felt I could only fit one in this deck, and I chose Day of Judgment for the low cost (mana and $).

OTHER FUN SYNERGIES

Stuff that doesn't fit a category, but is too fun to not run.

Master of Cruelties - Alesha lets this guy get around his only downside - having to attack alone. You can swing the team, bring him back with Alesha, and if him and one other thing are unblocked, you kill someone right there. And if he doesn't hit, he's almost guaranteed to kill something and live to tell the tale. Pretty cruel if you ask me. I guess that's how he got his name.

Priest of the Blood Rite - A 5/5 flying demon every turn for 2 mana and no downside as long as I have a sac outlet.

Murderous Redcap + Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit + any free sac outlet = Infinite damage

Flameshadow Conjuring/Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker/Strionic Resonator - Different ways to copy Alesha's ability/get an extra ETB trigger.

Feldon of the Third Path - Gives me another similar effect to Alesha's, plus can be reanimated with Alesha's ability.

Dictate of Erebos/Grave Pact - These cards can completely lock people out of the game with the amount of tokens in this deck and the number of free sac outlets I have. It also makes blocks incredibly difficult.

Karmic Guide + Reveillark - Either of these on their own is also great, but together they let you reanimate everything in your graveyard as long as you have a free sac outlet. It also gives you infinite ETB triggers and infinite death triggers. If your sac outlet is Altar of Dementia or you have something like Returned Centaur in your graveyard, you can dump your whole deck in the graveyard and reanimate everything. Or just deck all of your opponents.

Stoneforge Mystic - I don't think I have to tell you how good this card is.

Karmic Guide + Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar + another creature - Infinite ETB and death triggers. With a creature that creates another body like Priest of the Blood Rite , you no longer need Karmic Guide. With a creature that brings in at least two more bodies (stuff like Knight-Captain of Eos, it's also infinite creatures.

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts/Restoration Angel/Felidar Guardian - Infinite haste tokens. None of the pieces are bad on their own, either. Guardian and Resto Angel can give me another ETB trigger (and with Flash, Resto Angel can save Alesha in a pinch). With all the sac outlets in this deck, Conscripts will usually steal the best creature, hit someone with it, then sac it so they don't get it back.

Panharmonicon - What a fun card. With so many ETB triggers in the deck, this does serious work.

Reconnaissance - The not-so-secret tech that lets Alesha (and all your other creatures) attack with impunity.

Grand Abolisher - Trying to combo off? If this guy's on the board, your opponents won't be able to stop you! I'm sure they'll enjoy that.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I've put a lot of effort into building this deck, so I want it to be the best it can be.
