This deck is a last-ditch attempt for White to get in on the devotion fun! Archangel of Tithes offers a solid 4-drop, giving 3 devotion, avoiding Languish, and helping to lock down the opponent, while there are numerous 2-drops to provide devotion and synergize with Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit . The game plan is to trade favorably and offer some early pressure until you get down a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx with adequate devotion to dump several creatures and enchantments. Mastery of the Unseen provides an outlet for mana and card advantage, while Heliod, God of the Sun provides a secondary payoff for devotion, along with vigilance to make the Archangel extremely taxing. By turn 4 or 5 you can reliably have some first strike and/or flying creatures to either kill creatures of force through damage, with bolster triggers off Anafenza turning your decent creatures into real monsters.
