I have ordered the cards, but have yet to play any games with the deck yet
Turn 1: Play
Death's Shadow
.
Turn 2: Play another
Death's Shadow
or just a land.
Turn 3: Play Mimic Vat.
Turn 4: Play either Corpsejack Menace,
Force of Savagery
, or
Phyrexian Soulgorger
(sack Phyrexian at the next upkeep to imprint it onto imprint on Mimic Vat).
By mid-late game, use Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to throw the copies of either
Phyrexian Soulgorger
or
Kalonian Hydra
after spawning them with Mimic Vat and swinging. If you can't imprint anything, use
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
to scavenge what you can for cheap, and
Kalonian Hydra
to double +1/+1 counters. (
Kalonian Hydra
is also a good card to imprint because it becomes an 8/8 trampler which procs its effects when it swings if it is used with Mimic Vat).
Also you can use
Bioshift
in combination with Corpsejack Menace to further increase +1/+1 counters.
Just a quick budget deck I came up with to play in casual with my friends.
Feel free to comment or suggest. Please bear in mind that this is budget, so I don't want to buy any expensive dual lands, even if it would improve the deck dramatically. (I might proxy though).
