I think he's an awesome card but at 5 CMC seems just a little slow for modern especially with no ramp

You need answers to more than just creatures for your sideboard: Thoughtseize Raven's Crime Inquisition of Kozilek Tormod's Crypt Crypt Incursion etc. Not necessarily all of these cards, but the hand/graveyard disruption is pretty important in modern.

Nice deck, if you want to be really agressive, use Viscera Seer! In combination with Kalastria Highborn you can kill an opponent in 1vs1 quickly! Guul Draz Assassin is great too and Sign in Blood which gives you enough fuel to keep the pressure up! +1 My vampiredeck is more mid-range but can be really agressive! vamp

@Krapak I am throwing Sign in Blood right in there! Not sure about the other ones though I don't really like the level up cards it always seems I have better things to do with my mana and I might try out the Viscera Seer thanks!

I feel like you should add in Bump in the Night purely for flavor.

Put Bump in the Night in sideboard also put the lands in to cast its flashback!

Why bother with any Blood Crypt when you have no red mana symbols?

Have you thought about putting in Tragic Slip? It will take care of your splash of control and be able to remove indestructible creatures because it's not doing damage it is just applying -13/-13 to the creature (after something else dies).

Is Bloodchief Ascension really worth it? I might be missing something, but I think you'd be better off taking out 2x Go for the Throat and Bloodchief Ascension for 4x Thoughtsieze or Inquisition of Kozilek. I would also probably take out some Gatekeeper of Malakir for some more 1-drop vampires (Viscera Seer and Guul Draz Assassin look like good options). I like the rest of the deck though :)

@mtsavage67 I like Tragic Slip but if I can't get the morbid trigger then it's almost useless

@kingofcramers it's mostly personal reasons but I like for my opponent to play spells and then I kill him so I also don't use blue a whole lot! But thanks for your suggestions I will try them out and maybe I'll be less stubborn about discard.

Captivating Vampire for the buff. Malakir Bloodwitch as a finisher. Maybe a sideboard Vampire Hexmage.

i dont understand the Blood Crypt i guess it is to flashback the Bump in the Night on your sideboard, but then i dont know why whould you have Bump in the Night in your sideboard

Blood Crypt is in here just for Bump in the Night but since it is a swamp it doesn't affect my casting of any other spells, and Bump in the Night is in here entirely for flavor reasons

Sorin Markov is WAY too slow. If this is a flavor deck, you should probably label it as "casual".

The only card in my deck that is in here for only flavor reasons is Bump in the Night. This is not a casual deck, I take this to fnm frequently and go against affinity, tron, soul sisters, b/w tokens, and the like and my deck does quite well. Sorin Markov is in there for decks that like to gain a lot of life, such as soul sisters, which are very popular at my lgs and he works quite well in the late game.

What would you think about Captivating Vampire, or 2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet? I have a similar deck (not on tappedout), that also runs 4x Feast of Blood and a playset of Vampire Nighthawk.
