Illcullyourfaceoff Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I've actually play tested most of the cards that you suggested.
Epic Experiment was never worth the cost, even after being doubled.
Stitch in Time is too inconsistent. I lost way more coin flips than I won.
Prophetic Bolt is a decent card, but it costs too much for what it does. If it was a 4 drop, then I would include it.
Firemind's Foresight is ok, but due to the fact that it only gets instants, it was cut.
Mirari would have been a good addition, but my playgroup consistently shut it down. It is a valid option, just not for my meta
I hadn't really considered adding in Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse , mainly because I never really have issues with my mana. I'll have to test them out and see how they fare.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions!

I'd absolutely second Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse , maybe even Grixis Panorama and Madblind Mountain , you don't run as much library manipulation as some melek decks. You surely know how much it sucks to stare at a revealed island and pass turn to someone you know is gonna kill melek before you draw again.
And, hey, while we're on utility lands, Haunted Fengraf is a fun way to surprise opponents and put one of your useful but fragile fellows back into action.

Archaeomancer (or Scrivener if that's your thing) goes good with Familiar's Ruse for a fun little loop.

lakebottom I will likely be adding in Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse , although I honestly do not need the shuffling very frequently. I would typically prefer running Future Sight and maybe also Magus of the Future (who might be replacing Mercurial Chemister soon) to some random shuffle effects, although I still might add in Crystal Ball
daemon_panda You amuse me. Also it is pretty good, my playgroup is always upset when I do weird things like Mindblaze someone for 32 damage. It's more of a fun deck than a competitive deck, but it still wins games if they go on for a while.
canterlotguardian I typically try not to add a card solely because it has a fun combo with another one of my 100 cards. It is a fun loop, but it is also very unlikely to be drawn. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Nargangster For this deck, I'm doing my best to avoid any infinite combos. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to make my opponents feel good about losing.

in the same boat as you everyone i play with always goes for an infinite combo win, where as i go full aggro, the games never feel satisfying when won with a comboso if imay here are some i have n my melek deckNivix, Aerie of the Firemind Panoptic Mirror Mirari Spellbinder Sphinx-Bone Wand Izzet Chronarch Nucklavee

Nargangster Yeah, I know. Sometimes its good to have an infinite combo, but typically it's more satisfying if they don't happen and its a political game. As for the cards that you posted, Panoptic Mirror would be the one that I would consider adding in. Sadly it also adds another combo into this deck, mainly by getting infinite extra turns. I might actually construct a sideboard for people who want to see all the possible combos to add.

lemmingllama, I am glad my low quality puns humor you so much. I trust you got both of them?

daemon_panda Both of them. I love puns, and low quality puns are typically better than fancy ones.

Banefire ? what's better than dealing 50 points of burn? Uncounterable burn!

I recommend both Omniscience and Enter the Infinite . Omniscience because it's amazing, you can cast all the spells you want, leaving mana open to copy spells, activate abilities, etc. Also it pairs well with Enter the Infinite , which is like a tutor on steroids if you wanna think about it like that. I know that Omniscience doesn't pair well with burn, but if you read closely it says you MAY cast without paying it's mana cost. so I see no worries there. But +1, love the deck.

humanbean I'll be swapping out Red Sun's Zenith for Banefire as soon as I get a copy.
The_Black_Eagle Those cards are quite fun, but it is also rare to get both of those at the same time. I would probably consider adding in Omniscience and taking out Time Stretch , but Enter the Infinite is too situational.
One other thing that is annoying about Omniscience is that it doesn't work for buyback, fuse, kicker, or overload. So I would still be hard casting a lot of my spells that take up all my mana anyways.

Here is the best melek deck i've seen yet, try it Melek's Instant Breakfest

quesobueno123 I don't plan on copying other people's decks. However, Fabricate was a card that intrigued me that was in his deck. Might have to playtest it and see.

+1 for melek deck. I run one as well, though it's nowhere near the level this is at. That being said, one card I have enjoyed thoroughly is High Tide

rooroothepirate I've actually tested High Tide before. Sadly, it was normally a dead card unless I was about to win, It has a lot of potential, but I'd add an Extraplanar Lens before High Tide
Also its great to hear from other Melek players, I think that he has a lot of potential as a fun general, and he isn't as boring as Niv-Miz or Jhoira

Check out my melek deck. Let me know what you think. I'm considering Exhaustion in it. What kinda results has it given you? It seems fun, political, and maybe even crucial.

lakebottom I quite enjoy using Exhaustion for Melek. The main issue with it is that it is sorcery speed. I found Turnabout to be much more versatile and it also allows the extra bonus of untapping all of your lands if needed.

I also have enjoyed Mystic Retrieval . Sort of like an archeomancer with flashback and the potential to be doubled. Not sexy, but an effective role player. Also, Blasphemous Act just as a reset button can be nice.

rooroothepirate I've actually been considering replacing Archeomancer or Echo Mage with Mystic Retrieval for a little while now. Will come to a conclusion after some more testing.
Blasphemous Act was one that I tried out, but my playgroup always targeted me directly after playing it. Even worse, people using generals like Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant came out unscathed and would quickly gain an advantage. It is a useful card, but not in my meta.

Just to let you know, Panoptic Mirror is banned in EDH.

oooo! and Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse give you the colors you need in the early game, and late game will let you shuffle your library when you don't like whats ontop!!!
