@Son-of-Mace The only problem with Howl of the Horde is that it is at sorcery speed. Also it is fairly rare that I will be attacking my opponents, so although it is a powerful card, I will probably not be adding it in. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I also looked through your deck, and the only card that I will likely be adding in is Keranos, God of Storms . I need to find a copy first though...

I actually pulled him from a pack back when he was like $5, lucky i kept him cause he was the original commander that inspired my deck, then when it took a turn for the draw i switched him fo nivvy

Wash Out ?

I didn't originally add in Wash Out due to the fact that I had too many blue decks in my meta. However, I found a new playgroup so it should probably be reconsidered. I'll need to do some testing. Thanks for the idea!

The new Dual Caster Mage from the Red C14 upcoming deck would fit right in!

JakeHarlow He will definitely be added in here when I get my Red deck. I'm also thinking of adding in Aether Gale and Teferi from the blue deck and maybe add in Bitter Feud, Chaos Warp, Impact Resonance, and Volcanic Offering from the red deck in here. Arcane Lighthouse will also be added in here for the extra protection against hexproof or shroud.

Mirari and Izzet Guildmage aren't terrible either.

JakeHarlow I tried using Mirari before and it was typically destroyed without having any real benefit. It is still on my maybeboard, but I probably won't run it right now.

Izzet Guildmage isn't very good for this deck since he has very few targets, and those are mostly cantrips or copy spells. Since he copies spells when they are on the stack, he can't target my fireballs unless I cast them for 1. Sadly it just isn't worthwhile.

While this may be fun to play with, I know a lot of opponents hate a lot of extra turns due to they aren't playing anymore. However if you don't care about how your opponents feel or if they're not grumpy about it then grab Lighthouse Chronologist. If you set up your mana you can instantly level him up for shenanigans.

@dagan94 I've been meaning to get a copy, but I have yet to find a person willing to trade one away. He would replace Thassa in my deck in an instant

@dagan94 Currently she is just a scrying engine, I will never have enough devotion to have her as a creature. I think having 3 extra turns every round works a little better

oh and Strionic Resonator, pretty good with melek, basically a Reverberate on an Isochron Scepter

Strionic Resonator was in here at one point, but I replaced it since it wasn't useful. I would rarely have it out, and it wasn't used when I did have it out. Thanks for the CnC either way

Illusionist's Bracers on Melek, Izzet Paragon!

@OLucas Illusionist's Bracers won't affect Melek at all, since it only affects activated abilities. Since Melek's ability is a triggered ability, things like Strionic Resonator would be what I would need.

Have you considered Nephalia Smuggler or Deadeye Navigator? Nephalia Smuggler, Archeomancer, and Time Warp are hilarious.

@Crystalite Deadeye Navigator is probably blue's best combo engine. Still, I'm trying to not gather lots of infinite combos, and sadly neither Deadeye or Nephalia Smuggler really give a lot of value to my other creatures. Only Snapcaster Mage and the clones have ETB effects, and the likelihood of drawing the right cards is too low. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Have you thought about Galvanoth? He is great together with Melek, Izzet Paragon
