Also deck seems fine, would consider 3 remand 1 mana leak as sometimes you want to get rid of something permanent (like jeskai ascendency) and you can combo remand with leaks together. Would also consider 1-2 tectonic edges as those will give you the edge in any grindy match up (control, jung etc).

Playset of Geist. You only need 2 Sphinx's Rev. I'm running a much more controlling build and I only have 2. Seachrome Coast is a good addition. You only need 2 Hallowed Fountain and 2 Steam Vents.

4 geist, I think we be a little overkill being legendary and all.

You'd be surprised how easily it gets removed. And it's your main win condition so you want to drop it turn-3 Every Single Game.

Alright, alright. Everyone calm down. I've added the additional geists.

I'm not sure how good Spell Pierce is in midrange. I'd probably drop it for another Mana Leak.
As far as the SB goes, I like cards like Negate,Counterflux,Keranos, God of Storms,Wrath of God,Anger of the Gods,Celestial Purge, Engineered Explosives, and possibly Aven Mindcensor.

I don't much like batterskull in here. would replace with sphinxes rev or (this might sound funny) Shadow of Doubt. with BGx looking like a top dog in the new modern with it's excellent affinity, twin and UWR matchups, the best way for you to beat junk is to mana screw them when they try to crack a fetch. so yeah, SoD might seem like a control card that's bad in UWR especially in a format without pod, I think it will be a great tool for UWR.

freyhackbarth Batterskull is decent against BGX as it has a big body and vigilance so it can stay back and block many sizes of Tarmogoyf. The lifegain is not irrelevant and if it is attached to Geist of Saint Traft the it can do serious damage...
I would, however, second your suggestion of Sphinx's Revelation, it is the best way to replace Dig Through Time and it can gain you back some life in the endgame.
Shadow of Doubt is also good, both in the mainboard and side.

I like Stormbreath Dragon better than Thundermaw.
The 1 damage and his ETB are rarely relevant and since you are playing a control deck a 4/4 with protection + upside ability seems better.

actually I also second w00tthehuk182. pro white on stormbreath does a lot of things, (think Path to Exile) and monstrosity is not completely irrelevant. but depending on the meta, thundermaw could definitely be better. if we are going to get as much tron and lingering souls as we think thundermaw could prove advantageous.

Check out Great Nate on YouTube. He's been building this deck for quite some time, and has a very refined list that is worth checking out if you're interested in the archetype.

Looool xd U/W/R Control is exactly what I went too after Pod got banned. I played the deck for a little over 6 months, sucked ta see it go. Seems good, but I'd go down on a Snap for another Cryptic.

Also, Tectonic Edge and Desolate Lighthouse are real good.

Geist of Saint Traft IS legendary you know... Take one of him out for another command.

Some SB cards to consider would be Timely Reinforcements, Engineered Explosives, Flashfreeze, and Wrath of God (to deal with Thrun, the Last Troll).
The deck is looking good! I especially enjoy seeing the Kiki-Resto combo :)

Minor suggestion and not too sure if it is good but I believe that Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is a great addition to the deck. Basically it's a must answer card. It's a not yet tested card which makes it quite cheap to get but the ability to bring back Gheist, Snapcaster or Kiki-Jiki (even if he is attacking as a 2/2 for that turn) should not be overlooked.

like Prehstun mentioned, i really think Tectonic Edge should be here. it will save your anus for tons of threats. also I think resto angel could go down to a 2-of. it ends up getting just flashed in as a blocker more often than not, and for 4 mana i dont feel it deserves a 3 slot. Love the deck though man!

I'd drop a Geist of Saint Traft for a 2nd Cryptic Command. Shouldn't run 4x of him due to him being legendary, you'll get more dead draws. Also, he is a creature that protects himself and you are playing a control deck. Meaning, once he hits the battlefield he stays 99% of of time time. So all the other 3 in your deck become dead draws. I'd run 3 tops. I'd also suggest swapping the numbers on Remand and Mana Leak. You've got to keep that hand full or you will not fare well in the mid-late game.

Looks fairly standard.
I don't like Batterskull in the current meta, as he tends to eat a Purge/Dismember/Path, and doesn't match up well to Rhino and Goyf.
Also, disagree with Saljen. Giest is sometimes a 3 mana burn spell for 4. It dies to every blocker, but you can just recast him and burn again for 4.
I also think you want a Shatterstorm over Recall. Recall doesn't really hurt affinity, but it Shatterstorm just recks their board.

Yeah, 4 Geist of Saint Traft is a must have. I would try to squeeze in another cryptic though, maybe in the place of a land? Midrange only needs about 25...
