Sideboard

The general idea of this deck is to beat the hell out of people and destroy their hand with Reality Smasher and Thought-Knot Seer. Originally Grixis, I took out the counterspells since after playtesting a bit my initial assumption that I knew more about the game than literally every seriously competitive player in the standard metagame was, shockingly, incorrect.

This list isn't anywhere near final, but I doubt I'll push it past 3 colors (probably drop it down to 2 eventually unless Innistrad brings some color-fixing on par with fetch lands). Only reason I'm running 3 is because Kolaghan's Command is amazing and R/B isn't really enough to cut it on its own. "But why run such a colorless-heavy deck in 3 colors?" I dunno. It's not actual deckbuilding unless you push through the cognitive dissonance, right?

It's 3 AM right now but let me go through the list of cards:

Chandra, Flamecaller: Big damage and the only MB boardwipe. She can also draw some cards if their creatures are too big to blow up and elementals can't get through them, but playing her into that sort of a board you'd better draw something killer otherwise she's toast anyway.

Duress: Look at their hand, write down the cards, probably take something since everyone's running Crackling Doom or some sort of planeswalker kit in standard right now.

Murderous Cut : We're casting a ton of spells and fetching a ton of lands so we're probably going to have 4 cards in our graveyard whenever we draw this.

Kolaghan's Command: 2-for-1 your opponents and have fun playing Magic: the Gathering. Probably the best card in this deck.

Painful Truths: Lets you refill your hand which is super important in any matchup that you don't win on turn 5 with a Reality Smasher.

Reality Smasher: Gets through every boogeyman the format has right now and forces them to discard to kill it, which plays into our overall strategy. Also has the added bonus of usually putting your opponent on the back foot immediately, because 5 damage per turn is a big deal.

Thought-Knot Seer: Thoughtseize attached to a 4/4 body, except he exiles. This matters more than you'd think. Probably the second best card in this deck.

Utter End: Mainly here for things like Gideon in game 1, but really just blows up anything bad that you can't make them discard.

Transgress the Mind : More hand destruction. Really anything you actually care about besides Jace and Soulfire is going to cost 3+ mana so this hits a lot of stuff.

Silkwrap : I debated between this and Bearer of Silence since we're too full up on 3-drops to run Stasis Snare in the main. That might change in the future, might not. But this hits Jace and Soulfire which are still big problems but not always worth cutting or utterly ending.

That's basically it. Much better iteration than the Grixis version but it's still not finished.
