Biiii-cycle, biii-cycle..
This deck is purely meant to have a race. Sometimes this deck wins by turn 4, through a couple Flourishing Foxs getting bloated fast. Sometimes it wins by pinging with Drannith Stingers. But the fact that Yidaro, Wandering Monster is a living timebomb, causes opponents to go on a bit of a panic mode and makes them misplay.
You generally want 2-3 creatures on board that benefits from cycling and then you just start to cycle everything you draw to fill your GY for Zenith Flare. Though every spell functions situationally by themselves (and noticing these situations is the only part about this deck that requires a tad bit of skill or knowledge of the game), whether it's giving you double-strike to trade or lethal or destroy artifacts, but generally it's more beneficial to just cycle them and draw more shit to cycle.
Special mention for Splendor Mare, is to target your Drannith Stinger to gain life through every ping, so the race is easier for you.
Cards you want to stick (No more than 2 or 3 at a time though):
- Drannith Stinger 2 of these on board eats your opponents life super fast, since you can theoretically cycle 4 times on turn 4 if you draw well.
- Flourishing Fox these boys are 6/6 by turn 3-4
- Valiant Rescuer this is basically a stall card to have blockers as you ping away.
- and on rare occasions, Drannith Healer
Low land count is justified by you not wanting to draw lands when you're popping off cycling, and the fact that Risk Factor and Zenith Flare are the only cards you're gonna pay more than 2 mana for, plus you draw half your deck when cycling like a madman.
I admit, that this deck is super generic and kinda boring, but very effective. I'ts kind of like Storm, but not THAT effective.
Lifegain decks absolutely wreck this unless I start godly and they poorly..
Out of all the crappy decks I've tried to build after Ikoria release, this has a win percentage of way over 50% (probably because noone has understood how my deck functions, before it's too late :D)
