Modern slivers inspired by a few others I have seen.

Plays a lot like merfolk, but has no control aspect (outside of the sideboard). Starts up faster, hits harder, and has better ways of getting around creatures.

Illness in the ranks is a local meta choice on account of tokens being a tad more popular, as is the heavier hate vs red. Also looking to possibly sideboard Paths, but in most circumstances (especially the local meta) I'd rather have another creature.

Will replace in 2-3 mana confluence when I acquire them after they rotate out of standard.

I really want to run striking sliver as another 1 drop, but I see nothing worth getting rid of for it.

Long time update after not playing for a while. — July 26, 2015

Side: -2 Grafdigger's Cage, -1 Dragon's Claw, +2 Swan Song, +1 Chalice of the void.

Pod went away and I started facing more twin, storm and an occasional living death.

Lands: -1 ancient Ziggurat, -1 Gemstone Mine, +2 Mana Confluence

Finally got the confluences, Many games I couldn't cast aether vial, stampede, or my sideboard on account of ziggurat, and I had quite a few games with too many gemstone mines which caused problems late game.

Probably going to swap Lead the Stampede for Collected Company soon. Stampede I feel is better if I don't have a hand and I have a full aether vial or 2, in which case it completely swings games, Will be interesting to see CoCo in action.
