This is my stab at a Boros control deck. The basic idea is to try and shut down your opponets play by using mana and spell control cards like

Blood Moon &

Chalice of the Void

Then, you use a choice of beaters to finish them off. The beaters might seem a little strange, but the reason for them is the mana cost of the creatures is three or higher, so you can still set your Chalice of the Void to 2. And to be honest, although they aren't modern staple, they can still get the job done quick!

One final thing to note, is that we need to play a large number of basics to stop Blood Moon from killing us, and we can use Simian Spirit Guide to ramp in to it early.
