Warriors is my favourite tribe, and so here is the standard deck I plan to run in GP London. There are some great synergies in this deck, and the curve is perfect for collected company.
Synergies:
Bloodsoaked Champion
+
Evolutionary Leap
. Swing with Bloodsoaked Champion then sac with Evolutionary Leap to get a creature card into hand, then use the raid mechanic to get Bloodsoaked Champion back onto the battlefield. This makes a great mana sink lategame, and the raid mechanic can be activated as many times as you like in a turn.
Brutal Hordechief
+
Graveblade Marauder
. Use hordecheifs ability to choose to block all the opponents creatures to block into marauder, which all die due to the deathtouch. Then use Den Protector to bring it back if nescessary.
Athreos, God of Passage
+
Evolutionary Leap
, sac your creatures, then the opponent must lose life or you get your creatures back to hand, and another creature card to boot.
Chief of the Edge
+
Mardu Strike Leader
, both strike leader and the token get the plus one damage, helping break down your opponents defence.
Chief of the Edge
+
Den Protector
, den protector can't be blocked by creatures with less power, so a megamorphed den protector with +1/0 from chief of the edge suddenly becomes very hard to block.
Collected Company can bring in all creatures in this deck but Brutal Hordechief , leading to a large board presence very quickly. You can choose the creatures you want too, which helps you adapt to the situation. Hidden Dragonslayer to get rid of Siege Rhino, Den Protector to get something back, or Athreos, God of Passage to piss off that azorious player with the board wipe in their hand.
Summary:
This deck is all about playing aggressive, its a beatdown deck that fuels its attacks through Collected Company and Evolutionary Leap and uses some nice synergies to deal with enemy threats and to retain a strong boardstate.
I will update once I have played this deck more. Any help would be much appreciated, please comment below and like if you approve of the decklist.
