Hello, You have chosen to come to the Near-Death Experience zone. You will be drained, but you will survive. You will be attacked, but it doesn't matter. You are Immortal.
This deck was inspired by the thought of winning the game with Near-Death Experience. I first saw this card a few weeks ago, and I thought about how I could build a powerful, yet Inexpensive deck around it at the same time. There are plenty of ways to protect yourself until you can get to turn 6-8, when this deck usually tends to win. Some Fog effects in the deck are of course, Fog, and Safe Passage.
A good hand you want to start off with in this deck is at least one Near-Death Experience (can be replaced with Lost Auramancers), Two pain lands (Caves of Koilos, Ifnir Deadlands, Llanowar Wastes, Shefet Dunes), one temple (to fix the draw), and a few stuffy blockers (Wall of Blood, Deepwood Ghoul, Andanto Vanguard) for if things go wrong.
Once you are at the point where you either have a Near-Death Experience or have tutored for it with Lost Auramancers, you just have to ramp and fog until you come to the big turn when you can play Near-Death Experience and drain yourself to 1 life the next upkeep.
So overall, don't be afraid to use your life as a resource, Survive, and play Near-Death Experience. You. Will. Win.
As always, thanks for taking a look at this deck. Hope you enjoyed it, and if you're already here, please do consider leaving some advice and pivoting the deck. Any and All comments are appreciated. Once again, thanks, and happy brewing!
