I love Narset, but this is why everyone hates here (and why there was thought of banning her)...

There was thought of banning her because she was new hype but no one really talks about her anymore. There are plenty of other, new, commanders that can be just as frightening. Flash Hulk is a turn 1-2 deck consistently.

"Consistently".

Maybe in a vacuum, but with Force of Will, Stifle, Swan Song, Dispel, Spell Pierce, and Silence running around, the win isn't assured.

(Silence is a trick where if you respond to Narcomoeba's trigger with it, they can't cast the Dread Return/Fatestitcher required for the win, so they can't go off and lose to drawing. Memory's Journey is used to prevent that from being an instant loss, but with any counterspell, they are as good as dead.)

lol we can talk about the what if game all day but I play this first hand against T1 comp matchups online, at my LGS, and at Grand Prix events.

I meant flash-hulk.

Not every deck can win all the time man. It depends on what your opponents are playing, what hands they keep, and what they flip into. I used the word "consistently" because it is 100% true. But, I digress as I am not trying to spam this comment section with dialogue.

That is fair, I just didn't want anyone to misunderstand Tier 1 lists.

I hear people say really weird things about the upper echelons of competitive EDH, and I have heard things like "They win turn 6! Way too fast!", and think to myself that they didn't understand what fast meant. Turn 3-4 wins are regular, but when stax or control win, they can be turn 10+ wins.

Other's say things like, turn 0 wins with flash-hulk, which is technically not impossible, but the best lists can't do that because they aren't attempting to win that fast, the combos that do that take up way too much space in the deck.

Also, I hear things that make me squirm. When someone says a deck is in a tier very different than it is, I get confused. Memnarch is tier 1! Godo, Bandit Warlord is tier 1 now that Helm of the Host is a 1 card combo with it!

Ugh.

For instance in this deck's description, it says T1, which I assume means tier 1, which is off, it is tier 2. This is because of the change to mulligans, the deck gets Narset, Enlightened Master out a turn or two slower than it did before. This makes a lot of decks worse, but decks that need to get the best hand got hit a lot harder than some stax decks that were fine either way.

I will agree with you there SynergyBuild. When I say consistent, I understand that in a competitive match-up a game may not end until after turn 10 because everyone has answers. If you notice I say the "goal" is to cast her by turn 2-4, not that it will win by then. I also provided a god hand example which I've pulled off once in all its history. Granted, not every flip 4 will land me an extra turn, combat, or land destruction, but that is why I have 25 cards to hit because it gives me that 1 in 4 chance. I appreciate your input though bro. If you have any suggestions for this deck I am open to hear/read them :)

Though not a creature, I have seen Generator Servant to be a very powerful card. I'd run it over Urza's Incubator almost any day.

Otherwise, I'd drop Fervor for Ashling's Prerogative, and Need for Speed should be run here as well.

All Your Turns Are Belong To Me is the go to for this deck.

Eldrazi Conscription isn't good in this deck, it does nothing but kill the open oppoennt faster, which we don't want.

Agreed. I took out EC from the suggestion as the main goal isn't to kill faster; its to hit extra turns, extra attacks, and land destruction. I am considering taking out Ferver and Hammer of P for Need for Speed and Ashling.

Personally, my play style, I don't like giving my opponents any benefits so Ashling I'm on the fence about because it also gives my opponents haste for evens.

Lion's Eye Diamond maybe? Your hand bring pitched isn't a huge drawback if you get Narset out faster.

Alright, I'll try Lion's Eye out. What should I take out? Chromatic Lantern? edit Swapped; thanks for the suggestion.

Oh, I forgot to mention with Ashling's Prerogative, that it taps down Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, and tapping down odds also commonly taps down the dorks an elfball deck would use, and a bunch of other high priority targets.

Synergy, I'll add it to my cart and play test it in place of one of the 3 drop enchantment hastes. Thanks for your input man. It made me change my deck a bit and I LOVE this version.

Nice deck.

I do feel like it needs a few finishing touches like better haste enablers such as Need for Speed, Mass Hysteria, Generator Servant, or Ashling's Prerogative. I'd also try to find room for a few evasive auras like Aqueous Form, Steel of the Godhead, or Spirit Mantle. And a few great mana rocks to consider... Pentad Prism (ramps 2 colored mana on a 2 mana rock) and Chrome Mox.

Feel free to check out my list for ideas. Narset, American Beauty

You can play all the turns you want.

I'll play this: Grand Abolisher Lethal Vapors Teferi's Protection

The key to winning Magic is to not play Magic.
