My current Grimgrin commander deck.

The deck is set up to be highly competitve. The deck runs two tutors as well as Sidisi, Undead Vizier and Liliana Vess often searching for a rooftop Storm. Not only does this card make all your zombies free but it also means that with Gravecrawler or Risen Executioner that you can infinitely sacrifice them to Grimgrin and play them from the graveyard, giving Grimgrin infinite +1/+1 counters. With Noxious Ghoul this will also often wipe your opponent's board meaning that you often face no blocks against Grimgrin. The other infinite combo is the standard Mikaeus + Triskellion which if unanswered can kill all your opponents. While not lethal on it's own another fun combo is Bloodchief Ascension + Geralf's Mindcrusher which can provide a 20 point life swing on each of his ETB effects.

Aside from this the deck is mostly a simple zombie tribal deck. Rooftop Storm makes all your zombies free, 7 cards boost your zombies power and toughness while cards like Grave Titan and Army of the Damned help to swell your army. Mikaeus is a key component of the deck giving all your creatures undying meaning that sacrificing a creature to Grimgrin actually boosts your board position.

The non-zombie cards in the deck seek to fill the gaps the zombies leave. Baleful Strix not only draws you a card but also deals with a flying creature tough for our shambling friends. Solemn simulacrum ramps you, provides a nice sacrifice target and draws you a card when you do. Your spells are mainly staples, Sign in Blood, Night's Whisper and Blue Sun's Zenith draw you cards while Decree of Pain, Feeding Frenzy and Black Sun's Zenith deal with threats or clear the board.

The deck has a few main enemies notably flying and pace. Decks such as elves often overwhelm you quickly. Black Sun's Zenith even if only for X=2 can help to offset this along with a cycled decree of pain. Flying creatures can also prove difficult in large numbers where they overwhelm Baleful Strix and Grotesque Hybrid. Eldrazi Monument can help to offset this making all your creatures flying indestructible blockers at the expense of sacrificing a creature hopefully provided buy a token and Spine of Ish Sah can come in to destroy your biggest threat in the late game. The only other danger is yourself with loss of life for card advantage common in the deck. Whip of Erebos, Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Disciple of Bolas all stem the bleeding (with the later adding to your draw power).

The land base is fairly simple with mostly duels ensuring that you have access to Blue and Black mana although it is important to note that many of these enter tapped which can slow you down when facing an aggro strategy.

The deck is highly competitive in 1-on-1 play which is common in my local playgroup (which allows Sol Ring in two player games) but is also strong in multiplayer games.
