Important cards and notes

Big things you want to look for to explode in game with tutors and whatnot is Aetherflux Reservoir, Thrumming Stone, and Exquisite Blood. Thrumming Stone just helps to throw out all the rats out of nowhere, but you want to have Aetherflux Reservoir out first so that all those spells you've cast start stacking, and then you can simply snipe someone for 50, but even then you can have Exquisite Blood out to gain those 50 life back and kill an infinite number of players.

Tons of Black Staples and supporting cards are in here to try and get the deck rolling, like Bolas's Citadel, Phyrexian Arena, couple of tutors (Grim Tutor + Vampiric Tutor ) and the new Illuminor Szeras from the WH40K decks.

Mana Base

Mana is a very supported thing here, with cards such as Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx + Nyx Lotus , Cabal Coffers, Caged Sun + Extraplanar Lens + Gauntlet of Power and Crypt Ghast. Get stuff out fast or get lots of stuff out later. You also have K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to pay generic mana early on.

Couple of Reducers in there too such as Bontu's Monument and Herald's Horn that make stuff cost (1) less.

Anthems

Loads of anthems and stuff to make your rats bigger or nastier, such as Relentless Rats does it inherently, Coat of Arms, Vanquisher's Banner, Caged Sun, Gauntlet of Power, Mirror Box, Whip of Erebos, Ogre Slumlord, Marrow-Gnawer, Filth + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth , and Eldrazi Monument which you can fuel with Marrow gnawer's ability, or Piper of the Swarm's first ability. All you do is just sacrifice one rat and then everyone deals with the paragraph above, and get oodles of tokens to continuously fuel the monument. Or you can sacrifice Filth if you don't have a way to get it to the graveyard otherwise.

Enter and Leave the battlefield effects

Couple of ETB pings from cards like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Bontu's Monument. And should rats leave the battlefield, you can recur of all of them with Echoing Return, Patriarch's Bidding and a Foretold Haunting Voyage. DON'T USE IT NORMALLY

Big repercussions for the rest of table should any of your stuff die, like Dictate of Erebos, Butcher of Malakir, Pitiless Plunderer, Mindcrank + Syr Konrad, the Grim and Zulaport Cutthroat.

Final Words

It's just a very fun Mono-Black deck that revolves around the Idea of having at least 71/71's before rat tokens with Menace, Fear, Deathtouch, Lifelink, Flying, Indestructible, and Swampwalk... and It's quick to get going if you have just a couple cards. It has happened multiple times where I've tapped 2 swamps and played 1,120 combat damage worth of rats... Now this deck is $500 so it isn't cheap but for what it does it's not bad.
