also, the mana base needs some adjustments in my opinion. four man-lands seem a bit too much for me, and having all those shocklands + fetches might be a suicide, considering you only gain life through Cruel Ultimatums. I'd do checklands and remove a bit of pain from your lands, or second turn lands are good as well. you don't have a lot of first turn one-drops anyway, right? :)

You need basics. Blood Moon is definitely a thing.

Those shocklands and fetchlands won't kill me, unlike a fast deck control needs the specific colors but only usually shocks in an emergency most the time I'll fetch at end of opponents turn that is why 4 without "ERMAGHERD ERBERG" is not a problem, 3 tar pits are so I can drop turn 1 and is the extra wincon you were axing about

My suggestion for a mana base:
2 Swamp
1 Mountain
2 Island
3 Scalding Tarn
2 Bloodstained Mire
3 Polluted Mire
4 Creeping Tar Pit
2 Steam Vents
2 Blood Crypt
1 Watery Grave
2 Tectonic Edge
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

I agree with the above comment. If someones uses Path to Exile on you and you can't go and get a land, it feels pretty crappy. Also Tectonic Edge should be in every modern control deck's mana base

except tron, tron doesn't want to use tec edge it uses ghost quarter to stop Sowing Salt
also why Polluted Mire?

facepalm should have been Polluted Delta, I was probably just still thinking about Bloodstained Mire

First of all, +1 for wanting to play Grixis control!
I personally don't think cards that give your opponent a choice are very effective. For this reason, and the reason that it costs four black to play, I would say that Temporal Extortion is not ideal for this deck. Your opponent will pretty much always choose what you don't want them to.
Damnation might be a bit slow in Modern, but I do really like Anger of the Gods. I would say that you could stand to add some target removal, like Terminate, and decrease the number of board wipes to 4-6.
How does Liliana of the Veil work out for you? It seems that in a control deck you would never want to force yourself to discard.
Batterskull is an awesome card to consider.
If you would, check out my deck that I have been playing since recently getting in to Modern. It has gone through a lot of changes and I have learned a lot about the format. Cruel Control has a lot of potential right now, but we're kind of the underdogs.

Liliana is decent in my tests but I gav yet to buy the cards, temporal extortion in a mind f to pick right coz both options are bad for them and good for me, back to liliana, she can put demigod into the bin right before i summon one to smack them for 10

Terminate, Thoughtsieze, Inquisition of Kozilek, Creeping Tar Pit and possible Volcanic Fallout in place of Anger of the Gods. No Spell Snare seems bad, aswell as no Snapcaster Mage.
Sideboard, Batterskull, Vendilion Clique, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and Keranos, God of Storms are all amazing.

The thing is other than Snapcaster Mage I can't think of any 2 mana creature threats i care about countering over killing or exiling

Tarmogoyf, Dark Confidant, Cranial Plating, Steel Overseer, Arcbound Ravager, Scavenging Ooze, Lightning Helix, Young Pyromancer, Mana Leak, Remand Sylvan Scrying and Voice of Resurgence.
Just to name a few of them.

You really don't need to be playing boseiju, at least not in the main. It's just going to cause you tempo issues and colour issues.

Nice build in its current form. Spell Snare is the sick in modern.
-4 crapgod of slowness + 4 Pack Rat. I'd also fit in 4x Mutavault
1x Lavaclaw Reaches would be a good plan c or d. Wrath then swing with a fully pumped manland.

Either Snapcaster Mage or Elixir of Immortality should be in here.

APPLE01DOJ, when was a control deck able to dump cards from it's own hand? especially one where the primary card advantage is Cruel Ultimatum i understand demigod isn't the best possible option but it passed the vanilla test atleast... packrat fails that test due to card disadvantage, and a 4 turn clock is slow in control?
OniricPlayground says... #1
i love the sound of this deck!
the only real issue in here (in my opinion) is: how do you kill your opponent? sure, you have Demigod of Revenge which is awesome, but excluding 4x demigod and 1x Cruel Ultimatum, you lack of serious ways of doing damage.
Temporal Extortion is awesome by the way, i've never noticed that card, even though the BBBBlack cost can be a bit greedy for a three coloured mana base.. needs testing, and for sure needs Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth!
what i suggest to insert in here to always have an answer ready is 3-4x Snapcaster Mage, maybe a second Cruel Ultimatum because yes, and i would take out 2x Mana Leak, 2x Remand and one Anger of the Gods. having a Snapcaster Mage can help you con-trolling the game and allows you to keep good cards in 2-3x instead of 4x... but maybe that's just me. (did you get the joke? con-trolling. ha ha.)
Have you considered Vexing Devil? he is one of my personal favorites.
