forked bolt is good in my meta where all things worth killing are 1/2 toughness and if they're not (tron) i'm likely just gonna scoop and board in Sowing Salt or whatever it is that will stop their plans

plus... "my way" isn't tried and tested... it's "i'm gonna try it and test it and change according to the results"

If Tron is in your Meta more maindeck Tectonic Edge is a must.

Go and test.

Even more reasons to run a minimum of 3 Tectonic Edge. Sowing Salt Is good but not great against Mono Blue in my experience.

I design all Tron decks for my fnm as it's my main deck for the format, I know what I want to name for slaughter games in the matchup same for pithing needle

Sylvan Scrying Another card Snare hits that in that matchup Pierce cannot.

Pierce hits that... It's not a creature, and if I'm playing this no one is playing green red tron

But Tron usually can have access to a bunch of mana.

If they're casting that when they have their peices online I've stopped caring about their lands

Another side note. Less mountains and more Fetches and Tectonic Edges.

looks pretty good, ive been brewing/tuning grixis control recently too and one piece that has been working surprisingly well for me is Liliana Vess. her favorite thing to do seems to be fetching keranos, damnation, or batterskull.

mogis is a pretty interesting idea, at first glance i would feel like the 2 life per turn wouldnt quite be enough in modern, but then again, ive watched keranos perform extremely well in this kind of setup at 3 per turn. however, i think the fact that mogis gives THEM the choice, whereas keranos gives you the choice is way more important than the 2 life vs 3 damage.

couple other notes from my brewing this month would be to consider Treasure Cruise over dig if you havent tried it, and a weird one ive stolen a handful of games with recently: Slagstorm over anger. being able to point 3 more to the face for reach seems to at least be worth considering next to the exile effect of anger.

everything else looks pretty spot on, seems to be nowadays, the exact numbers on grixis spell composition among the staple cards (cryptic, remand, terminate, et al) seems highly dependent on the meta and context of the competition. most of the good grixis modern builds ive seen recently (paul cheon comes to mind) seems to be 2x of this, 3x of that, 2x of that, etc. with pretty personalized compositions from build to build.

also, i feel like the ultimatum's time may have come and gone, but who knows, im having fun running bolas himself in that slot and thats even slower.

xiao.wen anger is the go to card because exiling all of pods stuff is devastating, as for ultimatum... that will likely become a foil ugin soon

may even be tempted to put in Reliquary Tower so i can push past 7 cards in that small niche situation

Rarely comes up bro, If your gonna have a colour less land Tectonic Edge is a better option.

I think he was implying the lore aspect with Ugin, Still worth running, the card is gas.

Including the Crusader you have 7. Creeping Tar Pit is the way you will win many games, just because it is harder to interact with than something like Phyrexian Crusader.

Y u no Snapcaster Mage?
