another reason behind the crusader is it doesn't dissapear if i use anger of the gods pro red means no damage is done

That's not really a reason, because your finishers are lategame cards anyway. I do see your logic behind the Crusader, however, and it's a reasonable if unorthodox choice.
I'd consider maindecking the Batterskull as a win condition over Thundermaw Hellkite, because it's more resilient and the lifegain is rather helpful in tight spots.

i agree on a larger scale i'd run batterskull mainboard but as is my meta is relatively unaffected by the life gain with the sudden upsurge of infect and infinite combo decks not to mention a turn 2 emrakul deck

Out of curiosity, what is the turn 2 Emrakul combo?

Nice to see someone try make Grixis modern work. My only suggestion is to amp up the Lightning Bolt's to 4, they are a great removal/burn spell. Also a cool card for the sideboard is Consume the Meek, which is super good against a lot of decks you'll have issues with.

Turn 2 emrakul is earliest but average turn 3, combines Fist of Suns and Channel the Suns
Jack, cull the meek is strictly worse than damnation 1 mana extra and conditional

Its an instant which gives it a lot, lets you hold mana for counters, and if they over commit to a board you can instantly punish it.

jackledaman but damnation is 1 mana less and more often than not comes out the turn before they win while that 1 extra mana could mean you become (X_X) in the matchups where it matters

I think u should prioritize fetching blue so I wud play more scalding tarns and u should also run a 2nd watery graves. I don't agree wit a few of ur main deck spells 4 example rewind isn't as good as cryptic. furthermore I disgree wit rune snag and spell pierce. I think pierce is at its worst in a deck that expects 2 grind and eventually win wen ur opponents outta threats. As 4 rune snag it's an interesting choice but doesn't rlly play nice wit the delve mechanic. I don't think forked bolt is necessary wen ur running 3 electrolyze I think u wud rather play a draw spell like ravings or think twice instead. Also I think snapcastors r pretty awesome and u should run some number of them as well as putting in a 4th bolt.

The brilliant thing about delve is you pick the cards you exile or don't exile, forked bolt has the advantage of getting 2 for 1 with 1 mana and rewind is coz another cryptic wouldnt likely work out well
As for the fetchlands they focus black because of my obvious lack of fast black mana, I can use any of them to fetch a blue shockland in a pinch

If fast black mana is a prob u should try some number of blackcleave cliffs or darkslick shores

And I understand how delve works but ur not always in control of a game state and u should scalpt ur deck wit the worst case scenarios in mind

Mana Leak is a better choice than Rune Snag. Why? Because Rune Snag makes you play four copies to be any good, and that effect should not be a four-of in the current metagame. Along with Spell Pierce, you run too much soft permission to be able to consistently answer threats as the game wears on. Spell Pierce does nothing on turn 10, which is ideally where you want the game to go. The same goes for Rune Snag, and as it's strictly an early-game card Mana Leak is just the better option.

And ur only playing 4 lands tht don't tap 4 blue so y wud casting cryptic be a problem

Cruel Ultimatum is sweet, I would have at least 2.

tyforthevenom says... #17
A second ultimatum would not be good for the same reason a third cryptic wouldnt be good, get it before you have the mana to cast it and you've got dead weight, rune snag is just something I'm testing, it does more turn 10 than leak so your argument of saying leak is better than snag because of something incredibly stupid that I stopped reading is just bad. And once again i state, I'm testing my options, your suggestions are noted but a waste of your own time

I hope we will see esper decks again sometime soon with the new fetches too. :-)

2 reasons glis, 1, money. 2, money
i don't really count tar pit as a win con for the same reason i don't count the amount of burn in the deck a wincon, also tar pit it the highest risk "win con" in here due to bolt
