Mono blue merfolk

Modern Merfolk Mono-Blue Tribal

Fun merfolk deck. Each card is in for a reason.

Triton Shorestalker is a one drop. also to be able to get in for unblockable damage is very nice especially as there are so many creatures that buff it.

Lord of Atlantis just a great card to buff my creatures. Staple for every merfolk deck.

Master of the Pearl Trident is exactly the same as Lord of Atlantis.

Silvergill Adept is nice card advantage. Nice card, not much more to say.

Coralhelm Commander is a mana sink in board stalls, and later buffs my creatures. Not the best lord in the deck.

Merrow Reejerey is a great card. A way to tap down opponents stuff, buffs my stuff, can untap my stuff to keep blocks up, overall amazing card.

Merfolk Sovereign is a nice card, buffs my stuff and can get my bigger creatures through for more damage. Not as strong a card, but definitely good enough for this deck.

Kopala, Warden of Waves is nice protection. Not as good as Kira, Great Glass-Spinner protection wise, but the fact it is a merfolk and gets buffed by my creatures makes it better in the deck.

Master of Waves is a fun, annoying finisher. Great curve topper, great ability, and with all the double blue cards like Lord of Atlantis the devotion count will be quite high. Love it.

Unsummon, Spell Pierce, Encrust, and Mana Leak are great counterspells and removal. Not too expensive as well. I may not be looking to use them, as I can make creatures unblockable and some are already unblockable, but they are still great.

In the board we have Cyclonic Rift as a sweeper against token decks or similiar, and to replace Lord of Atlantis in the merfolk mirror. Nice sideboard card to have as a backup.

Merrow Commerce is ok, it keeps my blockers up even if I attack with all. One of the less impactful cards in the deck, so it is in the board in case I need to keep blockers up against an aggressive.

After playtesting, I have realised that the deck is very fast, and you win almost every time if you play turn 1 Triton Shorestalker, and if you don't, you win anyway with the huge buffs. I also found that Stonybrook Banneret doesn't do much. Lots of the cost don't have generic mana symbols in their mana costs, and the only thing it accelerates me to, Master of Waves, I would rather play the turn after, and Sometimes I don't even draw it, so Stonybrook Banneret is out and replaced with Merrow Commerce.

I am considering Dive Down as a nice piece of instant speed protection. Any suggestions?

Kopala, Warden of Waves is nice, but it is quite controlling. This deck is quite aggro, and Kopala, Warden of Waves is not. I am considering taking it out for two more Silvergill Adept, as I have no card draw engines. Any views on this?

Updates Add

I moved Spell Pierce and Merrow Commerce to the board for control matchups and Encrust for aggro matchups. I took out 1 Coralhelm Commander as well to make room for a playset of the lords and Silvergill Adept.
