WW PLUS ONE relies on the old-school white weenie strategy of putting cheap creatures on the board and then buffing them up, and for this deck that buffing comes in the form of +1/+1 counters.

This deck was extensively playtested against the current Pauper Meta and based on the results is certified "competitive." It had a hard time against Dimir Faeries, but peformed well against Grixis Affinity (which some say is the top deck type), Elves, Burn, and Mono Black Control.

With an Akroan Skyguard dropping on Turn 2, and then casting Homestead Courage and Conviction on turn 3, you're looking at a 5/7 flyer on the board. Sure, that'll make the Skyguard the #1 target for removal, but still that's a pretty scary creature to deal with so early in the game. The fun thing with Conviction is that you can bounce it back to your hand, so if you're having a slow turn you can always re-enchant Skyguard and get more counters on him.
