2001: A Space Odyssey

Commander / EDH

My first four color EDH deck, and it's a culmination of all of my previous decks put into one (essentially). I chose Breya as my four color general instead of one of the others is because of the artifact theme, allowing me to be flexible and forgiving with my land base. I could go all out and use nothing but shock and fetch lands for consistency, but I feel the "budget" land base I have will be sufficient until I can upgrade over time.

As with most of my decks being named after some of my favorite films, and they follow the theme of the film. The reason why I named this "2001: A Space Odyssey" is that a theme of "2001" is how humans have evolved and using tools to help them with their lives and progress through time. Dealing with life, death, and transcendence, we sacrifice artifacts and creatures (tools) bring them back to life, to help us transcend to our main win condition/combo Nim Deathmantle + Breya, Etherium Shaper + Ashnod's Altar. This deck could easily be competitive, but I don't want it to be oppressive. It is definitely my tastes that are in the deck, and playing with cards I normally do not get to and have always wanted to.

I'll gladly take suggestions and play around with things to see what works, but after playing with it a few times, I'm happy where it is at. +1's appreciated.
