it's okay. It wasn't worth the spot. I can see how its a good card but I think it's overhyped.

Zombie/ Ghoul/ Sacrifice themed? Mikaeus, the Unhallowed sounds like it would be perfect for you. Get all the value out of your sacrifices!
Also, though not a zombie Erebos, God of the Dead is just a solid black card. He's an indestructible Greed on a turn-on-able stick that prevents your opponents from gaining life. Hard to find better value out of a 4-drop!
Anyway, +1! Like the deck and what you're doing with it!

Thanks for the upvote. Erebos is good but I don't think he's worth the slot. I'd only be using him for draw, and compared to Necropotence , he's lackluster.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is a beast in any sac deck other than mine. 82% of the time I'm sacing Zombie tokens, and not something that can un-die. On top of that he can't save either of the two thing I want, once killed: Ghoulcaller Gisa herself, or my Eldrazi Monument .
I hope you understand why I won't be including your suggestions. In any event, thanks for commenting.

That's fair. I can certainly understand not including Erebos.
Though I respect you decision, I think Mikaeus would still be incredibly overpowered in this deck, just for the fact that you have a sac outlet. You could sacrifice bigger, juicier targets with Ghoulcaller Gisa , and still have them yourself, get so much more value out of Fleshbag Marauder , Kokusho, the Evening Star , Grave Titan , Solemn Simulacrum , Puppeteer Clique (creating an infinite combo if you have an unconditional sac outlet, if you're into that kind of thing), Burnished Hart , etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. He's not necessarily in there to "save" your creatures, but to get more value out of them. Just because he's not strictly "Mikaeus, the Infinite Combo" in your deck doesn't mean he's not still rediculously overpowered.
Note that when undying happens, the creature affected does in fact enter the graveyard, and does in fact die.
But either way, the deck is still sweet!

Okay, you have a fair point. If I do eventually add him I'll have to add to the description, because I refuse to run the infinite combo with Triskelion I know already that people are going to flood the suggestions section with it. Triskelion just isn't good enough on it's own and without Tooth and Nail it's hard getting them both out.

Yeah, I personally am against infinite combos in EDH. I feel like this is the "right" deck to run Mikaeus in. It's not strictly win the game, but it's very very good in a not completely unfair way. The only thing you'll need to watch out for with him is if you gain control of your opponents creatures with him waith It That Betrays or other effects you may have access to, since undying returns them to the battlefield under their owners control. However, if you manage to make them sac it again, you would just get it right back haha.

@KieranBevan the anime is Tokyo ghoul. I enjoyed it up until the end...(the end was dumb) but from what I hear, the anime is shit compared to the manga.

@CricketYT Not only would I have to find a card to remove, but the deck isn't tribal enough to warrant adding Conspiracy .

You run a bunch of tribal cards! Just cut Burnished Hart as it's pretty bad, you hardly need ramp anyway

I'm pretty content with leaving both conspiracy and gauntlet out. Thanks for the comments though.

Maybe Buried Alive Entomb and Victimize Reanimate Dance of the Dead to tutor for your fatties, then bring them to the field and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to make people flip tables..
Surprised Mikaeus, the Unhallowed isn't in the deck..

ZombieCat, I don't enough reaimation to warrent running Buried Alive or Entomb . Token's don't give devotion and so Gary is actually lack luster. 5 mana for a 2/X isn't worth running.
I'll have to try out the reanimation spells to see if they're worth running. as of now, the deck depends very little on the grave and I like the balance I've set up.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is going to be great, I just have to pick one up.
Thanks for the suggestions.

That was before my time a bit...art looks pretty sick though.

Enchantment and artifacts are definitely the big problem for mono black edh. I come across that in my build and spend lots of time trying to find ways around them. Like solitary confinement is my bane....I can get around it tho Vengeful Dead is so good.

From Dragon's of Tarkir, Sidsi could be an interesting choice, expecially if you have a way to blink or reanimate.

Would you ever consider Contamination? Theoretically you should have plenty of tokens or insignificant creatures to sacrifice, and putting this down will LITERALLY stop everyone who doesn't run a black or colorless deck.

I haven't owned this deck in 6 months. I love that it still gets comments. I may have to rebuild it.

Did you know the trick to draw a card and then bury senseis top so you don't waste a draw the next turn? That's how you really use it.
