Thanks for the comment ddaydealer943! I've had a look at the MtGSalvation primer already, that was basically my starting point for this deck. The primers are really good introductions to how a deck works, always worth a look when you're new to a deck.

I thought about Laboratory Maniac, but it feels a bit clunky - I may be missing something though, so please enlighten me! It seems you either have to find him before going off with Ad Nauseam and protect him for a turn (so how many copies do you run to find him on time?), or you need to go off with Phyrexian Unlife to find him and protect both him and the Unlife for a turn - Angel's Grace won't work in this instance because it only lasts for the one turn.

Or wait, do you include a cycling card or something to make yourself draw mid-turn after going off and casting the Maniac? In which case, what's the best choice for the card to make you draw?
